    This!

Plus an unsigned 1st/2nd rounder ain't going to impact our max slot this summer. They'll only count as 890k min deal cap holds each.

You almost have to think that there's more to this trade right? No way does any reputable exec think that Ariza is worth one of our young assets. Even trading Moe for Ariza is a stretch, especially if you consider that we're not going to look into giving Trev a long-term deal unless we absolutely whiff in free agency.

The other guys rumored are interesting.

Wayne Ellington might not be much of an upgrade to KCP. Terrance Ross is a size upgrade to KCP though. Vuc though, he gives us a completely new look but I kind of like what we have going with our big men. Maybe you package him and a couple young guys for AD?

i don't love any of it, tbh. unless it's basically kcp for ariza, i'm out. ariza's not worth sweeteners, and any kcp deal kills the ability to move for an allstar at the deadline without giving up multiple young guys.

The Suns is crap anyway, if they dont want KCP, screw them, we play with what we have.

Why would Orlando trade Vucevic? He's probably one of, if not their most consistent players. And they're a playoff team in the East. I realize he's not the future there, but is giving up their chance at the playoffs worth what might end up being KCp and a low first rounder? That team hasn't been in the postseason in forever. Also, we NEED a center who can rim protect.

If Orlando falls out of the playoff picture by trade deadline, I think they move him for assets. I don’t think anyone expected him to be playing out of his mind right now hence all the trade rumors before and early season. The forest that is Mo Bamba and Jonathan Isaac needs development time at some point.

On a not so serious note, we do have a history with Orlando and their centers.

I would only offer a second round pick and kcp for Ariza

And for vucevic I would definitely offer kcp and a 1st round pick. He's a perfect complimentary player for LeBron.

We could have just kept Lopez on the cheap. I'd be surprised if vuc is actually on the lakers' wish list. In fact, I'll be annoyed. His strengths and weaknesses read a lot like brook's.

vucevic is way better than lopez

i would love to see him in the p&g and would have no problem with giving up a 1st rounder for him

Vucevis is not allergic to rebounds like Brook is. He's also the better player.

Echoing what others have said Vuc is a far better player than brook not to mention he can actually rebound.

feel like he is being severely undervalued

Lakers: Vuc (12.7m expiring), Simmons (1m guaranteed for 2019/20 season if waived)

Orlando: Jabari (2019/20 20m team option), Moe or LA future 1st & LA future 2nd

Chicago: KCP (13.8m expiring after 15% trade kicker), Zu, two 2nd round picks from Orlando

No teams are in danger of paying a tax even after the trade or next season.

Orlando: needs to clear more PT for Bamba... has four 2019 2nd round picks to trade with...has flexibility with Jabari's contract via team option and gets Moe (a 1st rounder) or a future 1st rounder via expiring contracts like Vuc and partially guaranteed Simmons contract.

Chicago: LaVine has played 88% of his time at the 3 spot this year so bringing in a 25 2guard like KCP makes sense for them. Kcp is in a big market still that has alot if cap next summer and isn't too far from Georgia still. Chicago gets 2 second round picks from a mistake in signing Jabari, who they want to move anyways.

LA: gets a legit post presence who is ranked #1 in defensive box outs this year to really trigger our fast breaks off misses via our wing/guard rebounding strength. We would have to renounce Vuc's bird rights next summer (19.1m cap hold), but if we strike out next summer, we will have cap to give him a lucrative deal. Also if Kawhi is our get next summer then we still would have roughly 7m in cap space to offer dude and then can give him more on the back end. Also, he can be used in a potential AD package down the pike.

...and then go pick up Melo after the Htown buyout...haha

I'd do that deal (no Melo though please!). I'm over KCP.

yeah...disagree on vuc's value. people have short memories. they couldn't give him away a year ago, and he's the same dude.

Grizzlies clear winners in the trade I think. They get Oubre who is still a very young rotational player with potential to get better and all they give up are two scrubs that aren’t even worth naming lol
