IMO the biggest issue with Randle was that he knew that after signing James and having Ingram, he had zero chance of starting. Thats why he wanted out.

I have said this many times...we didn't treat him the right way. We didn't honor his improvements in year 3 and always made it known that our plan is to sign 2 big FAs and that he is a plan B or plan C. Every NBA player has a pride and an ego. Randle's rather big ego combined with our lukewarm recruitment made it tough for him to stay with us.

Ironically he isn't having a bigger role on the Hornets and doesn't have more money than we were probably able/willing to pay for 1 year. With that said when ego comes into play, the result isn't necessarily the best one, its the one that makes you feel good at that moment. Randle retaliated on the Lakers even though he didn't have any benefits from it.

Well of course he doesn't have a big role on the Hornets cause he plays for the Pelicans.

I wouldn't put it past his idiot agent to promise him a role on the wrong team.

Thank you Lakers for playing down to the level of the worst team in the league and making this a closer game than it had to be. I needed that emotional stress tonight.
On a less sarcastic note props for the Lakers for weathering an emotional game and taking the Cavs best shot and surviving. 3 games above .500 finally.

Probably should have lost tonight's game but found a way to win it somehow and come from behind in the 4th...with such an emotionally charged game with LeBron returning...props to our guys for pulling it out.

Half game behind the defending champions. If that doesn't make you optimistic enough, then nothing does.

Fine, depleted warriors and what not. But boy, we're in the mix, right in the middle, of one of the tightest start in the west so far.

In a month we will be 1st and on our way to the championship. Lebron is killing it and still in 3rd gear.

I am no longer filled with hate or dislike for Lebron. It's just apathy. I knew the game was on tonight and I didn't even care. Didn't even check the score til after it was over, and then I had to SMH.

Thank you Lebron for giving me a lot of extra time now that I don't care to watch my favorite lifetime team with you on it.

It's awesome. Lebron ball is great to watch. We'll make the playoffs. Woohoo.

    /that's optimism right

This game against the Cavs sucked. But Lonzo having a good game is certainly a very good thing and was much needed.

Also we closed the game out. Admittedly against a terrible team but closing out a game is important, we blew a lot of such games earlier in the season. This can be a confidence booster.

2-1 on this trip was minimal expectations. Too bad we didn't have it in Orlando.

in fairness, orl has been playing good ball of late. don't like how we lost, but others have lost to them, too.

optimism: good to see kcp starting to show some signs of life. he provides some stuff this team needs when he's going: shooting, lane-running on breaks, some occasional perimeter d.

I forgot what its like to have a player of LeBron's caliber and boy is it amazing.

After 5 long years, The Lakers are relevant again! Oh and and they have the best player in the world/top 5 all-time.

Hopefully they can trade Ingram before the rest of the league realizes he's not that good.

He’s going to be just fine in this league. His role has changed once again, and it’s not easy playing with Lebron. He’ll have a very nice career, but not for the Lakers is my guess. We don’t have the right role suited to his abilities available.

But if he can find a way to successfully adjust his game, I’d love to keep him.

If you tell me before the season started that after 18 games, we have as many lost as the Warriors. I take it!!
