i don't think wagner (despite being a good prospect) can bring what we need. wasn't noel a klutch client? how'd we drop the ball on that?

as for lebron, i've been disappointed in that i thought he'd pull a couple of these victories by himself, but he has been generally kicking a**. as someone else said, it just looks easy for him. add in the couple of lazy-looking critical mistakes, and i can see why people would be antsy.

as for panic, i don't see why people shouldn't be concerned. i'm not sure the team has looked any better than last year's team thus far. last year's team had a lot of moral victories, then pulled out of it and into 35 wins. is that what we want/expect now? i don't think so. i don't see the seeds of a dominant second-half run. there's just not a ton of talent here aside from lebron.

I agree, im saying hes had "empty" stats so far. Cousins put up 25pts and 12 reb and didn't win games.

How dare anyone compare Lebron and Cousins! One is a proven winner, and one a proven malcontent. Not a good example.

LOL. How dare anyone compare LeBron James in his very best prime to Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant in their best primes, and then jump the shark with the, he may be the best player to ever put on a Lakers uniform. Check yourself first.

In his best prime LBJ was an absolute physical high flying beast no doubt and is still a physical beast. But in his prime he had no back to the basket game, not as good defense as either and was infinitely weaker mentally. Both Mike and Kobe would have been inside his head making him even more tenuous in the crunch moments earlier in his career. Off topic here, but your whole argument is based on stats and longevity and yes it's nice he plays a game more similar to Magic.

I get the feeling most people on this site have never really watched him play. You guys are in for a big treat night in and night out., and it’s the subtle little things he does to make the game easy for everybody that will knock your socks off.

If we are being honest with each other, Kobe made the game very difficult for him self unnecessarily. Nobody really cares about Michael Jordan anymore because he played so long ago.

The thing with Kobe is that he doesn't care. He doesn't care that he's being compared to MJ. He doesn't give two craps about the shot he just missed, or if he averaged more assists than Jordan did, or had a team that included Smush Parker and Kwame Brown.

The difference was that Kobe came in every night thinking about the kill and it was evident on the court. He wasn't the most physically gifted athlete, nor was he the most efficient, but you know for damn sure he's going to come in and try to win the game no matter who's on the damn team.

Listen, we all love that Lebron is here, but there's no point in comparing any of these players because there's no possible way to factor in all the different elements to each player. Just appreciate being able to watch these generation players instead of trying to make assumptions.

Just so you know, nothing will earn you a worse rep around any Laker site than trying to tear Kobe down to prop up LeBron. They have their pros and cons and comparisons will be inevitable, but you have to be able to read the room a bit.

You’re making me feel very unwelcome here. I guess if others feel the same, i’ll Leave. But if you’re just in denial that we have greatest player of his Generation on this team, then what am I supposed to do with that?

What are you planning on adding to this site besides your absolute love for all things LeBron? Haven't seen any real observations of plus and minus skill sets of the other Lakers players. You seem to can't wait to trade to get Bron his help, while he is so far part of the problem as well.

And then say stupid stuff (not calling you stupid so this is allowed ;) ) such as LeBron is the most "flawless player in NBA history" (Who comes close?), Kobe didn't play the way you absolutely had no clue about how he should play .... but wanted him to have played .... and now the "troll like" .... "who cares about Michael Jordan anyway that was so long ago?"

If that's it yeah don't let the door you know ......

This right here is trolling and throws all your credibility out the window.

If you can’t come here and provide some semblance of an argument or provide evidence of your claims, then clearly you are not welcome here by a forum that tends to lean very lenient when it comes to discussions. Go over to Lakers reddit or another forum and you’d get burned in a 0.4 seconds.

    I see

If you think it’s debatable whether or not he’s the greatest if his generation, that changes talking points.

Please allow me to reset my mindset when discussing with you.

I really thought most fans thought that was a given. My bad.

You’re not only saying Lebron is the greatest player of his generation (which is debatable by more then just one member), you said he’s the best to ever don the Laker uniform. I’m sure you realize how many GREAT Laker players we’ve had over the years. How can you possibly just throw those players under the bus? I guess if you’re willing to blow off Jordan “since he played so long ago”, that explains all lot. Your Lebron love knows no limits and you are entitled to your opinion but so is everyone on this site. Just cause you say it doesn’t make it fact.

Lakers have played the 13th hardest schedule according to Sagarin. Not close to the toughest.

My WMC: don't see them approaching my 47-win projection.
