Great. Then we have another asset to move for another player that could be a better fit or even a draft pick to grab another stud on a rookie contract that fills a need. Either way, I'd rather be complaining about assets than a lack thereof...

Honestly, I'm not IN LOVE with Conley, as good as he is. And I'm not resigning Lin even at a discount. I go in a different direction.

Nigel is more a 2nd round option, but definitely someone to keep an eye on against Kentucky this weekend.

Obviously, Durant is my first option in 2016, even with his injury.

2015 - I go after Dragic, Mo Williams, resign Ed Davis.

    Dragic/Williams
    Kobe/Clarkson
    RHJ/Young
    Randle/Davis
    WCS/Black/Sacre

    2016 - Durant

    Dragic/Williams
    Clarkson/Young
    Durant/RHJ
    Randle/Davis
    WCS/Black

I mean, I don't mind Love, but I'd rather give Randle the nod and let him grow and play PF, especially if we're able to snag WCS. I don't want to create a log jam of PF's with Love there, and I don't want to shift WCS to the bench to play small ball with Love.

Dragic I feel can get the ball to guys like WCS and Randle in the right positions, and Clarkson is slowly developing into that player who can get his own shot.

I'm not 100% into the SF spot in 2015, but I'm obviously keeping it open by drafting a rookie and keeping Nick there for Durant.

Otherwise, I'm open to hear other options as well for big Free Agents we can target to build around a core of Clarkson/Randle/WCS

Check it out boys (sorry the pic is huge) It was easy to tell that he was surprised a bit that we knew him. He seemed pretty stoked to take a pic with us. I told him that he was one of the few bright parts of the season and that I hope he continues to work hard...Told him we were diehard laker fans and that we were rooting for him. He said thanks, that it meant a lot, gave us a dap and left. Super nice guy.

I know he's only making 400k this season, but does he have to buy jeans from a thrift store?

Those jeans are probably 200 bucks man. It's the style the kids like these days!

Awesome picture. Glad to see he's hear he's still humble for now. Good kid.

You're looking good by the way man. Thick. Strong.

No doubt! About 20 years ago (last time I ever bought anything on Melrose Ave.) I went into a clothing shop and they were selling pre-torn and faded jeans for about $100.

John Schuhmann has Bojan Bogdanovic over Clarkson because he's played more minutes on a better team. Yes. The Nets are world beaters. He's also 25 years old. Honestly, it's nice to see Clarkson on a lot of those lists, but it's painfully obvious the people that don't have him on their list don't watch any Laker games. One dude with Clarkson on his team says it's between him and Nurkic. Nurkic averaging 7 and 6 and playing only 17 minutes per game. Clarkson, since being given minutes.

How about we ask Denver if they'd trade Nurkic for Clarkson? They'd drop Nurkic off at the nearest bus stop and fly a private jet to pick up Clarkson.

RoY and first team all rookie honors are probably the least informed vote in the league because the best rookies are typically on the bad teams (they drafted higher). The teams that no one watches.

That's awesome! I'm surprised that he was surprised to be noticed. Lakers have a huge fanbase and he might just be the only bright spot for this season.

Wow. It is so annoying to see some of them put Lavine over JC.

So David Thorpe took a look at all the rookie PG's and projected their ceiling going forward.

    Exum - All-star
    Smart - Long term starter
    Payton - Long term starter
    LaVine - Sixth man/scoring guard
    Shabazz - 2nd unit guard

Payton and Clarkson have a way better chance of being an all-star before Exum. I think some of his mysterious unknown labels are sticking with him from his pre-draft workouts because he looks nothing like a potential all-star.

Oh well. I agree with the rest of his assessments though. If Clarkson can put up 15/5/5 for his career. That's a big win.

And if you are ranking an all-rookie team and have LaVine or Bogdanovic on the 1st team over Clarkson, you haven't been watching basketball.

Clarkson is a bit older than Exum (2 years), so Exum still has time to improve. But from what I've seen, Clarkson is the better athlete, more creative off the dribble and seems to have pretty good vision when needed. But I'll be honest, while it's early, Exum looks a bit of a dud.

I think Exum is one of the most poorly scouted players coming through the draft. I don't buy is All-Star potential. Clarkson has the better chance of being an All-Star, and in my opinion, will be the better overall player.
