I'm listening to this right now and don't know if this is the right thread for it but should be a listen for Lakers Fans. Two smart people than know twice as much as the standard media's take on our performance last night.

Can’t learn if this team doesn’t lose. Didn’t expect a win nor do i expect this team to get it out the gate.

This will take some time to play around Bron without relying on him. Defense needs major adjustments and we need a backup center quick, small ball does not work.

Rebounding is a function the team should focus and rally around. Man and help defensive sets looked good, in particular with the amount of length out there. A lot more dirty work on securing the ball on a missed shot will take care of the offense as it learns to gel.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong but it looked like we weren't switching defensively as much as we did in preseason and last season.

Oh no, we were switching a lot last night. Maybe not as much off of pick and role but chasing guys of screens around the court, yes.

We just got out executed down the stretch by POR in game one, which is to be expected.
Saw a lot of things to be excited about once we find some rhythm & chemistry.
This is gonna be a really good Team...

They switched for most of the game and I thought the team did a good job. Looked to me that they, too often, want to run before securing the rebound after the opposing team's shot. We're going to give up a few bunnies on post put backs not fielding a traditional center and running a smaller team, but need to secure a greater percentage of all other opposing team misses. Not too worried about it just yet as we showed we were a good team rebounding squad last year. This, by the way, is where Lonzo is invaluable. He gets the rebound and sets the break off in a heartbeat.

    Optimism?

    Basketball is back!

Should be competitive in nearly all games this year and be fun to watch.

Management already making moves to shore up a weakness

    Josh freaking Hart :Joshharthearthands:

Lots of positive takeaways from game 1.

Those suspensions were way fairer than I thought they'd be.

Houston (1-2) and Okc (0-3)... And they said those Western teams were most likely to threaten GS.

    #TheyLied

Before anybody clamors about "but they was without Chris and Russ"...we was without any experience and and chemistry (avg age of team is 24.6 and there are 8 new faces on the roster).

    Oh, and there's this...

Lakers are fine.. They're competing hard & showing they can play with anybody. We've lost every game due to lack of execution down the stretch. That takes time. SAS ran a great out of bounds play to get a wide open shot at the end & we ran a Lebron iso.. We have about 12 guys that are trying to figure out their roles.. We're good.

kuz had a good game. Maybe slide BI to the two and plug in kuz in the starting lineup?

:Magicwow4: Still. Who was the imbecile that f***** up Fultz's shot and his head .... his mom's boyfriend or someone close to the family who considered himself qualified to do so? I bet the organization would like to murder that guy.

I liked the youngsters. You can see progress. They should be playing as much as possible.

Also... MCG, as long as he doesn't foul... is awesome. GSW are going to miss him, which they said as much.

Well I just watched a couple of post game locker interviews and it seems like the players are still pretty upbeat...so there's that.
