I have been hesitant to trade players like BI for Little P and Kawhi, but if it meant adding KD and AD to LeBron, I would trade this entire roster. Bye, BI, bye Kuz, bye Zo, bye Mo, by Svi, buh-bye. LeBron, KD, and AD equals a championship. I don’t see how it could happen, but if we could somehow make it happen, anyone is available.

No dammit. This is why we have Rob the Shark. So we don't gut the whole team and then become top heavy like no other. Where the hell is Yi when we need him to protect the "Younglings" (went looking sirron for that one but not too hard)

I typed in scrub. What did you type in?

Because we'd have a team full of scrubs along with two aging high mileage superstars, and one guy who has one solid season under his belt but who is otherwise known as fragile. No way I want those three and a bunch of scrubs.

ah yeah, but not all people show up with a tag, so if you remember a key phrase in the title, you can look it up that way too

Just found this old favorite

    Absof***inglutely!

    :Semicrazylance:

Btw, I wouldn't want a KD-Bron tandem either...if it happens, I'm not complaining, but it's my preference to create a team to take down the monstars up north and not have any part in dismantling them via the cap route.

Now I know you’re just being sirron with this one. Aging high-mileage stars. Shoot, I’d kill to be aging like LeBron and Durant. Those are THE 2 best players in the league and Davis is in the top 10 if not top 5. You have that on your team and you can surround them by dudes off the street and still win multiple titles. Neither GS or Houston could hang with us at that point if it came to a game 7.

After so many years of long playoff runs, you DON'T WANT those guys playing 38+ minutes a game carrying a team. That's crazy.

I feel better after Vash's post about AD the last two years. Apparently I missed that, and thought it was one solid year of health.

I LOVE the idea of star players, but not if you need to ride them so hard that you have to run them into the ground. You have to have depth to compete these days. It's tantalizing, but not a risk I feel like I'd take vs building a solid team with super drafts, bargain signings, key acquisitions, and potentially two max players. Feels more sustainable, and I think both Magic and Rob said that's what they are after.

Your point is well taken, but Anthony Davis gives you sustainability by himself. He was my pick for MVP last season, not Haren, he carried that team, he didn’t have an all-star pg like Chris Paul next to him. Durant would sustain you as a top guy as LeBron ages, and then Davis would lead you for whoever joins up next as Durant ages, it would be perfect. 3 guys who can switch everything, can all shoot, score at will, defend with length. I don’t think we’d literally have scrubs around them either, guys would line up to join that team for ring chasing, and we’ve shown we draft well. We also wouldn’t have to give up ALL our youth for Davis, I’m just saying I would if it meant all 3 of those guys.

Getting Durant weakens GS, they lose their best player, Curry is actually 30 himself with an injury history, so not exactly without an expiration date, Iggy and Livingston are getting older, they’ve already lost key depth pieces along the way. We’d also be taking NO out of the picture. It’d be down to us, GS, Houston, maybe Utah, and I’d like our odds of some more Lakers C Bags NBA Finals.

Honestly, if there was a team with Lebron, KD and AD, I believe they could win with me playing 15 minutes a game as the backup pg. No joke. I am relatively fast, and I can throw a basketball in a straight line. That's about all I'd need to be able to do. They could make up for everything else. Did I mention I'm 5'7" with a 12" vertical and that I am a lifelong soccer player with some hockey and football sprinkled in? The three of them together could still make up for my shortcomings.
