The Chargers are a vulnerable team. Right? They have surrendered 10 TD passes so far, and two of the QBs they've faced have posted 123 or better Passer Ratings. Also, two teams posted better than 100 yards rushing. They've surrendered at least 20 points each week, and have actually scored fewer points than they've allowed. Our offense has got to do its job, keeping Rivers off the field. We're getting Worley back for this game, so the CBs should get a lift. I expect some points - like 30-27, Chargers, but I won't count our guys out. Guenther and Gruden have seen Rivers enough to know how to scheme to stop him. Rivers vs. Gruden is 1-0. He went 21-37, 287 yards, 4 TDs, and was sacked only once as the Chargers piled up 41 points, back in 2008. Guenther-coached teams have faced Rivers only once, and the Bengals won: In 2015, Rivers was 21-27, 241 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT, but he was sacked four times and the Chargers lost 24-19. Expect big games from Carr and Lynch again, and let's hope Conley can make another big play.
We got to limit our 3 and outs and the drops. Carr has to be more cerebral out there he is a little to reckless with the ball. Chargers are always tough on us but this would be a big boost on our season we can get that back to back W. On another note, someone confirm for me please, I hear M. King is in the dog house in Den punting horribly. I think the stat last week said he was averaging something like 30 yards a punt. Has the kid fallen off?
^I really think what Chucky saw and some of us too, if we are honest, is that King was getting a huge head. I wonder if he stopped working. Kicking in Den is different than Oakland we all know but it was pretty interesting seeing we let him go without a real back up in mind. I really liked the kid though.
Hard to do when you start reading those press clippings. He was getting interviewed on shows. A punter? Then I remember what was it the Denver game where he was chopping it up with Talib (that the dude Crabtree kept getting into it with?). Sad cause kid can kick. I guess the front office had something. Still doesn't make up giving fricken Mack away.
Chargers (-5) 52.5 Over/under I want the Raiders to win, and I know they can, but if I were a betting man, I'd call the Chargers 30-27 (not covering). So, if you're a Raiders fan, take the Raiders with the points. Raiders have to get after Rivers, so look for our three rookies up front to get after him early. Key has been close but no cigar a few times, so fingers crossed he can break through this afternoon.
