Our predictions are a year from now when he's expiring and possibly looking to move, not this summer.

We actually have to bank on the hope that Pelicans are dumb (like the Cavs) and they hold on for dear life and hope he re-signs.

If AD happens to hit free agency in 2020...he's ours. The only way he's not ours is if those scumbags in Boston start offering trades for him and the Pelicans bite. Also another intresting wrinkle is Ingram will be a restricted FA i believe in summer 2020 so we'll have some interesting decisions to make (whereas Lonzo, Hart, Kuz, Mo, Svi and bonga will still be under contract)...we could offer up Ingram in a trade for AD if the C Bags start offering Jaylen Brown (they will NOT offer Tatum). I would even be down to ship out everyone to make it happen.

Oh boy....can you imagine LeBron, Kawhi and AD? And then when LeBron retires...Kawhi and AD duo for years to come?! oooweeeeee so happy to be back in these discussions again and now we'll actually HAVE a winning team as well to attract the stars thanks to LeBron (and hopefully internal development of the young kids).

Certainly not my preferred future for the Lakers. To be that top heavy with 3 salaries and no more home grown all star talent to look forward to here and on other teams instead for their careers. And certainly a hit to our depth.

So far from what we see from Magic and Rob they highly value the young talent too. Just my opinion.

Yes. Bring him back. I don't care if he has two peg legs. An elbow to a mid-air James Harden will be the best thing to have happened to the league in a long time.

    Ummm in a heart beat!!!

I’d absolutely love to sign Bynum back. What’s the risk? A 15th roster spot and Vet minimum?

If he worked out it would be amazing!

Holy bleep how is this possible. He looks in great shape considering the long layoff. A real f****** Big Man with skills. 15th roster spot? Sign him the hell up!! Before an opponent does. How can this be??

Last season, Emeka Okafor was signed by the Pelicans after being out of the league for 4 seasons. He played us and toasted Brook Lopez.

Okafor is 35 years old. Bynum is still 30. I'm not sure how Bynum's style of play fits our system. If it's a vet min signing, then I don't mind at all.

Low risk high reward. Someone for Ivica Zubac to bang on. My guess is like most comebacks from bad knees after a few years of layoffs, this will not work out. Be a great story if it did though.

i'd pass. his defensive mobility was an issue before every team in the league started playing sfs at c. he looked slow even in his promo there.

also, don't want his attitude and work ethic around the youngsters. that ship sailed. too bad his knees went south and the paul deal got conspiracy-ed. that would have been a great year.

    but let's look forward.

McGee has more mobility but in a half court offense Bynum has the edge. If he was in good shape with no lingering issues, he'd be a legit low post threat. Bynum would be a good rim protector though a liability on pick and rolls given how the game is played now. Board, defend, contest penetration, kick out the ball for our break where he doesn't have to run. Yeah...I'd take a flyer on him.

Think of it this way. When we square off with the Warriors for the West championship series .... as insurance for Boogie's rehabbed achilles we counter with sleeked and toned Andrew Bynum and his rehabbed legs. I really like it if he was actually good for 10 minutes a game. All my getting punked by strong big man fears go away if we have Bynum just any kind of semblance of his old self .... to counter and bang and score over puny bench centers when needed or to help stop the bleeding with down low punking in games when it's going on. He and Luke with the championship history together.

    :Magic Brows:

It's like manna from Heaven ....

Great body, looks slow as hell... but to fill that last spot on the roster?I would consider him. Wonder if his attitude is any better, because his talent is not in question.

But you guys have to be aware that he can’t play serious minutes anymore. Those knees are done.

Riddle me this. How does it work if hypothetically the Lakers want and are successful in signing Bynum to some minimum exception amount, over other teams that might want to do the same (who knows if Drew wants to come back here considering he was traded) ..... and then some amount of time into the season he just has to quit for physical reasons and is finished finally for good. Are we done with that 15th spot? Medical situation doesn't free it up again for this year? Just curious. Where's Vash? He knows all this s***.

if he passes the physical. I would hope the lakers would try to get sign him for the vet min. we need size and it's not like he would be playing lots of mins. spot mins here and there especially when we play a team that has a competent big...
