Kobe averaged around 5 assists for his career as a shooting guard, that really isn’t bad. He wasn’t a point guard, but he used to spoon feed Shaq all the time, it was on of my favorite plays to watch the Lakers do. Kobe drives and draws 2, drops it off to Shaq, SLAM. The triangle didn’t really lend to typical pg type assists as much as other offenses do either, a lot of time Kobe led to hockey assists with his passes. He really didn’t deserve to start in his rookie year at least. He was good, he showed serious flashes, but Eddie Jones was better, more consistent, an all-star. I’m glad it served as motivation though, I think it was actually some valuable learning experience for him early on to work hard and earn it and that he wasn’t gonna get to take every shot. Yeah I don’t see it. I actually really like the Big3, it’s extremely physical compared to the NBA, some dudes out there with super grey beards playing old man ball, it’s very much more like 90’s eastern conference basketball. I think Kobe would thrive in it, but I don’t think he’d want to travel and risk injury for nothing or real significance.
I laugh at anyone who believed even for a second that Kobe was playing in the BIG3. He ain't got time for that given his aspirations and goals to be achieved in the writing and creating industries let alone his investment ventures
Think of the Smush era and the post Pau years where he had nobody to pass to.. lmfao he could easily have another 1k assists if he'd had some legit teamates who could make a layup or two all those years.
LOL. Vanessa. Molly. The women in his life and businesses have the juice and speak for what he is going to do or not do when it comes to playing basketball again.
Well I hear there are a bunch of Bron stans... ...so my dragon will be there with me on. #FlameOn By design, Bron's defense will most likely be piss poor during the regular season (ie resting), so I'll have a higher threshold for that nonsense up until April...but if its like that during the playoffs, I'll be pissed. Anyways, Happy 40th Mamba!
Today is Kobe day on NBA TV. Right now is game 4 2001 Lakers vs Kings, Kobe scores 48 with 15 boards. Also today, the 81 point game, game 4 of the 2009 Finals vs the Magic (awesome game), and Kobe’s final NBA game vs Utah with the 60 points.
I feel dirty posting that Paula video in the Kawhi thread especially on Mamba's day. Its so anti-MambaMentality and my bad fam for doing that. Let me make it up to yall... Spoiler: Hey Underdog, put that on a t-shirt
Just watched last game vs Utah when Kobe scored 60. It's hard to imagine that LeBron will ever get that respect at Staples Center even if Lakers will become champions 4 times in a row
There's something to be said about a guy spending 20 years doing it for you vs. 4 years. But if LeBron were to win 4 times in a row, you can bet Staples Center would rock for him and respect him for it.
They really do keep showing a lot of the same games every year. I wish they would mix it up. So many great games to choose from.
