You don't watch Marvel movies before me. I'm 7:00pm Thursday night. Last night, the first showing was at 6:00 at my IMAX.
I'm usually right around the same, but also usually the first to post something. I'm super tempted to click on your guys' spoilers, but I cant.
Saw Ant-Man and the Wasp last night. Really solid movie for what it was. Funny, enjoyable, and emotionally engaging. Cast was pretty great from top to bottom. I look forward to more of all of the characters and seeing how Goliath, Ghost, and the original wasp meld innwith the others in future stories. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
Okay I saw it and it was almost exactly what I expected: solid, but not spectacular. Really good popcorn movie that just couldn't quite capture the magic of the first movie, but was still fun enough. Michael Douglas really mailed this one compared to the last one. Either that or his comedic timing just isn't great anymore, but he struggled. Everyone else was good to great. I don't know what kind of impact this will leave on the rest of the universe, but even if it's self contained, I'm okay with that. Not every one of these franchises should be a world/universal threat. Ant-Man works really well on this scale (pun intended). Spoiler I have a feeling he's stuck in there for a while until Ghost finds his daughter and they go rescue him.
Saw Ant-Man and the Wasp last night. Fun overall movie. Nothing mind-blowing, just straight up good popcorn flick. Humor was on-point. My theory on how it ties into A4 Spoiler Scott somehow gets out of the Quantum Realm, passing thru the time-vortex Janet mentions right before he goes in. Shows up in the future, hence why there was a casting for an older version of Cassie Lang (Stature in the comics), and those set pics of older Tony Stark interacting with Cap, Banner and Ant-Man. And I can't believe this is already the last Marvel movie of 2018. Captain Marvel in March, 2019 is sooooo far off!
Still almost a month away for AM&W to hit the theaters here. What a joke (can't remember the last time something like this happened... with a movie i wanted to see at least). Bummer.
Avengers: Infinity War. Digital - July 31st, Disc - August 14th. https://www.gamespot.com/articles/avengers-infinity-war-4k-blu-ray-dvd-digital-pre-o/1100-6460307/ I want this soooo bad on my 4K TV
I haven't bought a movie in so long. But infinity war is definitely the one I'll be getting. Might just get the digital copy
I saw what he wrote and they're some bad jokes. I hate this trend of hunting through someone'e past and using it against them, especially in the age of social media.
Should not have been fired for that. I read the tweets. Some are horrible, but are we really going to hold everybody accountable for everything they ever said or did? His career is now likely over too. I am so glad I never got into Twitter/Facebook/Instagram. I'd probably be working at Wendy's. Not Baskin Robbins though. They always find out.
I would right next to you flipping burgers as well. Jokes from a decade ago won't fly in 2018 where something like Twitter allows mobs to go witch hunting.
I really hope they reinstate him. yeah the jokes Gunn posted was tasteless but it was a decade ago and he apologized back then.
I've been busy, but a work snafu gave me some unexpected free time today. I started watching a little bit of Cloak and Dagger. The Cloak kid isn't a great actor, but the plot on this show is actually great. The girl who plays Dagger is a really solid actress too.
Yeah. People grow up. I said some horrible things, especially in high school when I was an idiot kid.
