yeah, multiple possible configurations for a deng to sac deal. hopefully, this happens. i'd give them next year's pick with minimal (top 3-5) protection and two seconds for anyone whose contract expires this summer. koufus makes sense because we have no centers, but zbo or shump could also work. shump would fit in with...whatever the hell the FO is doing since getting lebron.

If this is being discussed, then I don't see why we wouldn't move on this.

Why would Sac absorb that type of deal knowing that it would help Houston strengthen an offer for Capela? If they're interested in offering RFAs money, that would eliminate one more potential target, wouldn't it? With Smart off the market now, the only RFAs are Capela, McCaw, Hood and Harrel (who is a Klutch client as well).

Sac wants a SF/PF with their interest in Anderson and their offer sheet to LaVine...Deng fits in that category (no fat jokes fam, we're trying to sell him to Vlade).

Think about the Laker trades: didn't hear any rumors on Lou to Rox...didn't hear rumors on Mozzy/DLo being available...didn't hear rumors of Nance being shopped and a JC/Nance package to of all places the Cavs...didn't hear about shopping for a 2nd round pick which turned into Bonga...so our FO plays it pretty close to the vest in dealing with trades.

This Dengdump could come out of nowhere and I hope it does...cause we're running out of teams that are willing to absorb cap.

But that's the beautiful thing about Sac... they can send us a ton in expirings by taking on Deng and still create more cap room in the process. Deng + Zu + Bonga make 20.5m and can bring back 25.7m in salary. A package of Shump, Koufos and McLemore works cause they make that much. On a smaller scale, we can also send Deng by himself to take in Zbo/Shump's expiring 23m.

In the process, Sac sheds 5m in salary so they open up 25.5m in cap space (and can then throw the max at Capela) and they gain future picks all from us, just for dumping expirings and taking on Deng, who somewhat fits a need on their depth chart. This also forces Houston's hand to match Capela for the max.

    Let's do this already!

Been waiting at Magic's door for a hour. You would think he would understand out of all people. Maybe I'll just go to Bron's and have him pass on the memo (titled #NoDengNoDeal) to Mag/Rob.

Anyways...Philly is trying to bring the Cavs into the Melo 3teamer to get some shooting...

I lost track. Who is the acting GM of the Sixers since burnerphone-gate? They've been busy.

I really like Holmes. He's like a Moe Wagner with on the court energy but without the outside shot, touch around the basket, and size. But the dude competes hard. He will help that Suns organization.
