I'm sick of seeing all these so called professional sports analyst questioning our moves. Sick of seeing headlines "What are the Lakers doing?" or "Lakers didn't win free agency."

We got the best player in the game with a team that hasn't made the playoffs in 5 years and had a 35 win game season. That's an automatic win. The moves we made after have been explained ad nauseam. Some have said we failed for not trading for Kawhi. Ummm Spurs wanted half the team for him. Just months ago we were lauded for our young players and now they suck? We failed because we couldn't even get a meeting with Paul George. We got Lebron Freaking James! Paul George would have moved the needle for us but he's what a top 15 player at best. Come on now.

I'm so ready to prove the doubters wrong. They'll jump on us when it's going to take time for the team to gel. But once we get going, watch the f*** out.

I'm still bitter about losing Randle but damn, he took cheap shots at our coaching staff. Fire your agent Jules

Who cares what Julius Randle thinks. When he is clanking 15 footers because they need to clear the lane and getting owned by skilled bigs, game in and game out, you will see what those defensive drills are worth. Likely they will be worth as much as dirt water at a restaurant.

OK normally glass half full guy here rescuing this thread from page 2.

Michael Beasley and Lance Stephenson signed and hard to root for while making Magic and Rob seem hypocritical with all their happy "we want high character players on the Lakers" talk.

Excitement of being in the playoffs and competitive again by signing LBJ now tempered by having knuckleheads on the team.

I’m optimistic that they are all reasonably priced assets on one year contracts, and will help us on our journey to the top.

(I doubt they are all on the roster come next May)

    *edit*

Sorry wrong thread. Ok here’s my complaint at the moment. When I look up pictures of Beasley, the only gif I can see making is a dude smoking pot.

I’m not sure that’s good. Being a good childhood friend of Durant is an interesting twist though, as I think he needs to be our target next year.

Yeah the only ones I think come back are Rondo and maybe McGee. We sign Kawhi and fill out the roster with new mercenaries.

James will have his hands full dealing with them... Stephenson is a wild card and Beasley...well I don't think he'll play much. We do have the high character people in our recent draftees. The signees are for depth because we'll likely deal with the injuries again. It's up to Walton to divvy up the minutes depending on game match-ups and who's doing well.

What concerns me is that we are light at the 4 and 5.

Beasley and LeBron are randomly close from their Miami days. Stephenson is the new Barnes who will have LeBron's back 100%. McGee isn't really the knucklehead people make him out to be anymore.

Rondo is honestly the one who will likely clash with people this year. He's intense and opinionated and doesn't have prior relationships with anyone on the roster.

I have no idea what's going to happen with the team this year, but I'm expecting fireworks.

Stephenson will play but with Hart's showing at the Summer League and Svi's solid play could curtail his minutes. Beasley will probably not see much time with Kuzma and Wagner on board. McGee should be fine in modest minutes. I do see Rondo and Stephenson clashing...

Edit: We also have Pope at the 2... Forgot about him.

I think Stephenson ends up at the backup three spot.

    Lonzo/Rondo
    Pope/Hart (or vice versa)
    Ingram/Stephenson
    LeBron/Kuzma
    McGee/Beasley?

I don't know what the plan is for Beasley to be honest. He got a decent amount of money so I figure he'll have a pretty good chance to get minutes. It's a little tough seeing all these minutes being probably taken away from our youngsters, but it means they'll have to earn time.

That Ball-Rondo balance could impact the crew on and off the floor... The unknown here is Zubac whether he's plateaued or not. We will need back-up at the 5. I still think our young players will get their good share of minutes. It's one year anyway...

I predict a team meeting early in our season and lots of technicals.

As mentioned by GCC I'm worried about the 4/5 spots. We are undersized/undermanned in the bigs department. Bummed to see Randle go for this very reason, but it is what it is.

Lots of small ball and depth, so we appear to intend to run centers off the floor.

We have solid shooting, ball handling, and play making everywhere.

I don’t really want to watch Dan Tony ball though

Clippers got a B+, Nets got an A. Pelicans, Raptors, Nuggets, Hawks, Bucks, Knicks, Magic, Jazz, Rockets, Spurs, and Mavs all got a higher grade than us, and we signed LeBron James. I want a media member to look me in my face and prove to me that anti-Lakers bias doesn’t exist in every place outside of LA.

We should have made moves to contend right away. You know... Trade threee young talents, give up 2 firsts and 2 seconds for Kawhi and then sign... Who exactly? Are they insane? We get Bron - C. Pelicans add Julius - A. WTF?
