Like D Howard, Nash was never a true Laker. That might sound petty and shallow, but it's how I feel.

That would have really irritated me if he had the audacity to do that. So thanks for that at least Stevie.

I really wanted it to work out for Nash here. Bummer about the injuries. The guy was a warrior. Sucks the way it all went down. Great player. Never really got to be a Laker. Wish he would have retired after last year, but in the end I'm not sure it would have mattered much in regards to this season. Right now we stand a chance to keep a top 5 pick and that's a bigger boost than whomever we could have picked up for Nash's contract money, IMO. This was basically a lost season anyway.

Here's hoping that Steve sticks around and helps the Lakers, which it sounds like he's doing unofficially with Jordan Clarkson. Would be nice to have him as some kind of coach. This budding relationship with Clarkson might make up for the last couple years of his contract. He wants to stay in LA for his kids, so it could be a win/win.

It's a bummer it didn't work out here.

I've always respected Nash's game and he was always one of the players I enjoyed watching. I wish it would have worked out here in LA.

yeah i thought that was funny as well

to me he was never truly a part of this team. and it's sad because he really did give it his all to come back healthy but it just wasn't in the cards. that one freak play where he broke his leg in the 2nd or 3rd game of 12-13 was really the end for him. i hope the lakers can find a way to keep him as a coach or something similar though

First thing he did was thank the Lakers and Jeanie Buss for his treatment in LA. He said they gave him an unprecedented level of support.

At least he's saying the right things. Now for that last 10 million dollar check go tell Dragic to sign here for under the max!

He also says he wants to make this city his home forever for himself and his kids...

Give him a position as a player coach, consultant, scout even. Give him the opportunity to actually make a difference for this franchise in a way he was unable to as a player.
