Maybe, but I'll take Magic and Rob pressers all day and night over Mitch who was always so bland. Magic you normally get great sound bits due to his charisma and Rob you normally get a great biblical reference.
Oh my goodness this. You could DVR Mitch press conferences and use them to get to sleep that night instead of a pill.
I'll add too that I always leave a Rob press conference thinking "Damn, that guy is super smart" and that we're in great hands. Its no surprise that he and Kobe were together for so long and successful. I thought Kobe had a great quote recently when asked if he knew this GM job of the Lakers would be good for Rob and he said it was like a fast ball right down the middle of the plate for him. He's just wicked smart and its really his preparation that sets him apart.
Josh Hart is way too good for Summer League. Caruso looks like he's settled back in finally. I'm really digging Ayers and Williams has settled in as well. I wouldn't be shocked if Ayers ends up in camp with a real shot at being a minimum add. The bench looked awful in that 3rd quarter stretch. Rathan-Mayes is a solid player, but he's not a great fit for us. The ball doesn't move when the starters aren't in.
Can we win this again if Hart continues to play? Looks like Moe may get Ingramed if the tweaks to knee and ankle make Magic nervous. But yeah when Hart and Wagner and Svi are in the game it seems like we're better than the teams we're playing. But haven't watched any of the others.
I agree with you that if we had Wagner, Svi, and Hart, with Caruso running point I don't see a team beating us. But I think we are definitely going to miss the versality of Moe's game if he is out. I would love to win it again and become the first Summer League team in History to go BACK-TO-BACK. Also just like last year WTF is the league doing playing 3 games in 3 nights. I'm not trying to make our players soft because they used to do that in AAU but the NBA would never played 3 straight game in 3 straights days. This is how injuries can happen:
want to see if Hart can D him up...i really like shai too....was within range of "our pick"....thanks Steve
I'd love to re-watch this game if I could, but it seems like it was the same ol' same ol'. I'm really liking Johnathan Williams. It seems like he's finally gotten more comfortable and is playing a better all-around game. I don't think he's an NBA player (he just doesn't have much pop), but he's good for this team. Rathan-Mayes again just looks like an awkward fit in our program. He's very talented, but when he's in it's the "Rathan-Mayes" show and not the Lake Show. Hart is too good for this league and Svi is close to too good for this. Caruso probably fits in, but I still like his fight. In fact I liked the fight in general from this team. Having a big brute like Ayers helps this team feel comfortable mixing it up and I think that's pretty valuable to our success.
This is a big loss on both sides of the court. Caruso has set the table for our big especially and on defense has been great in spurts for us.
