Quietly had a very nice defensively. As Miles said post game he's really starting to pick up the defense coverages better and call them out for our players. Film work with Coby Karl has been helping.

3 steals and 2 blocks tonight to go along with 16 pts and 8 rebounds 2/4 3pt

Nance was a high fly act, better rebounder and could jump out of the gym. Wouldn't shoot if you put a gun to his head. Iffy free throw shooter too. Liked him as a glue guy which Wagner is/could be too.

Doesn't force shots, moves the ball, competes on the boards and plays with intensity. Also complains on every foul he is called for and ones he doesn't get.

Looks like he has red lipstick on... :)

Didn't shoot great, but he did literally everything else to help us win again

    8 points, 14 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks

Got into it was some of the bulls guys too. Haha, always intense out there. Played Wendal Carter Jr well. Love it!

On paper, McGee, Zubac, and Wagner is not a sufficient rotation at the 5 position.

But a large part of that impression is just that statistically you shouldn’t rely on a late first rounder to be a productive rotation player in their first year.

But Moe projects to be a perfect piece for what we’re trying to do. He’s show the flashes of skill that would make him an ideal center for our system. Good three point shooter, ball handling and passing skillls, and decent defensive mobility for his size.

At this point in free agency, I think we might be better off both short term and long term to throw Mo into the fire and give him significant playing time in the regular season.

carter blocking his first shot really got in his head, and he lost those individual matchups. but he didn't hang his head and contributed in lots of different ways. great attitude on this kid. really liking his ability to put the ball on the floor after the fake. he's doing better keeping it simple with straight line drives to the rim, too (as opposed to the behind-the-back stuff, which is cute but ineffective at this level).

Wagner got posterized against the Kings... Nothing fazes the young man. Plays with enthusiasm. Burke and Jones last night lauded that quality in him.

Thought of some his shot selection was questionable. Would like to see him keep it more simple on offense.

I like that he still impacts the game even when his shot isn't falling.

I like the rebounding; I think his defense has been a bit better than advertised, etc.

I also think he may be able to possibly give us mins at the 5 this season; maybe...10-12 mins a night.

He better be able to play more than 10 minutes a night. We don't have anyone there. :D

I like how he runs the floor and gets up. There aren’t gonna be many bigs that will catch up to him.

He’s not LNJ, but he throws them down with authority. He’s gonna have fun with Zo and Bron’s full court passes.

He said a couple games ago that he wanted to focus on defense. I have a feeling the Lakers FO agreed and they're really asking a lot of him on that end. Get out ahead of the "Kuzma curve" on that end. As of today we're going to be leaning on him more than expected, so he has to be ready to at least challenge shots inside.

To his credit, he's working hard on that. He's been active with his hands on the perimeter too which has been great. That elite quickness/agility for a big really shines on the perimeter where bigs are usually uncomfortable.

I agree. He might crack the rotation just based on need as @Savory Griddles alluded too; but I think he can be productive there, too. IMO.

We have too many shiny new toys, someone's bound to end up on page two without deserving to be there.
