    I agree. Not to say he isn't talented, but these contracts are ridiculous. Chris Paul getting that deal is laughable at his age with his injury history.

    Every time I see someone mention Ingram in a trade for Kawhi I feel like pulling my hair out. Ingram is gonna be sooo good. The work he puts in during the offseason, and the jump he made from his rookie to sophomore season was phenomenal. I’m so convinced this kid is gonna be the bridge between today and 4 years from now when Lebron is 37. He’ll only be 24! Everybody sleeps on how good Ingram and Kuzma are. That combo is better than any combo supporting cast Lebron had in Cleveland last season.

    Before the exceptions (room and vet min) kick in for Lance & McGee respectively, we have 95m tied into the new deals of Bron, Rondo and Kcp along with the kids & Deng.

    We have 7m in cap space and if you stretch Deng, we open up about 18m in cap space. Kawhi makes 20m so at can absorb nearly all of his contract into space and only have to send out Moe, Kuz or Hart (1.7m * 175% + 100K) to make up the difference (which is roughly 3m).

    So technically, we have more than enough to trade for Kawhi without including Deng, Zo or BI. And it would also give SA a sizable TPE in the process (as much as 18m).

    hence deng being included in the deal and no picks. if you figure we already had 18 million in (literally?) dead money on the roster already, you're really paying wall 22per, which is great!

    Lakers in 12 months can get another star and not give up one young player. They will need everyone if they are to make a run for the next 5 years.

    Warriors are one injury from the big 4 from coming back to the pack, if all the vets click with the young guys and Lebron can have a MVP year, anything can happen.

    The Clippers have cap space next summer and 2 lottery pick rookies to offer the Spurs. Remember, Kawhi just wants to be in LA, not necessarily only a Laker.

    Dont believe a word of it.

    There's been a dozen reports saying nobody offered him anything, so and so offered him 40 million, such and such offered him the same deal. I dont believe any of it.
