at this point, Lakers could use 16-12 from the center position. And I think Dwight has hit rock bottom. Lakers have nothing to lose. If he becomes a malcontent half way through, buy his a** out and send him packing.

The trick with Howard is we have to make sure he's not trying to do too much. Javale had the same problem bouncing around from team to team. There was no structure or role for him, and the expectations were high. He's not mentally strong and faltered.

But in GS, the culture and system was established. His job was to rim protect and grab boards. That's it. Don't worry about anything else, you have the all stars to take care of it for you. And he thrived under that support.

We need to talk to Howard and do the same thing. If he wants to come back, fine. But his job is to only rim protect and rebound, while playing within the offense. He's not 25 anymore and will NOT get the ball in the low post every time he calls for it. Instead he's going to help us body up guys like Cousins, Davis, etc who will otherwise give us trouble in a 7 game series.

I'm thinking about the chance of Dwight finally being Tyson Chandler. If Magic sat him down and said to him, look mother f***er, we need DOPY Dwight. If you aint gonna eat sleep drink defense, get the eff out. But one issue from your a** anytime during the year, you are out.

Ladies and Gents, I do not care about feelings or sensitivity. I want the Lakers to win. Short of having some child molester or murderer on the team, this is sports. Dwight Howard may be a douche, but the guy can still play. If he can finally be a good boy, its a shot. I mean, the warriors are giving DMC a shot, why cant we.

    Howard, McGee
    James, Kuzma
    Ingram, Lance
    Pope, Hart
    Zo/Rondo

That is one hell of a defensive lineup. Where in the NBA does a team have 5 players that can play at once who can play defense? And have more on the bench? Just sayin. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

No to Dwight. I draw the line with that guy. He's a freaking loser. Let's not talk about winning and that guy in the same sentence. LOSER!!!

Well wtf man.. We sign LeBron followed by a bevy of stupid moves.

We are exceptionally determined to prove that you can win without any shooting whatsoever.

And Cousins goes to GS too...

    Wtf

...plus he's already a champion in his mind (wink). Howard also said that he wore 12 because he wanted to be the opposite of Duncan. Deep stuff...

With the guys we have signed so far, Dwight seems to be a logical next signing...

    Rondo, Stephenson, McGee, Dwight...

We are signing every azz in the NBA right now... And he sucks at free throws too... Perfect fit for Pelinka.

Not to mention KCP and Josh Hart who ended up with good 3 point %'s last season.

I'd rather sign Deng for an extra year than bring Dwight back. One of the most ungrateful players to ever wear the purple and gold.

The great @Marc J. Spears said Boogie Cousins told him “Dell Demps (Pelicans GM) said he didn’t want me”...

    Dang. That's lethal.

Considering Beverly offers zero offense, that's overpaying imo. His D is good but still, for the current market that's too much. They competed with nobody.

I think Carmelo Anthony will end up in a Lakers uniform. Lakers need shooting, Melo can shoot and will likely take a backseat. He wont have a choice.
