A little reminder for all those freaking out. We still got LeBron. If all we did was swap Randle for LeBron, Rondo for Caruso/Ennis, Stephenson for Brewer/Wear, it was the best offseason we’ve had in forever

Doesn’t matter, that was a HUGE signing and I’m still shocked that we weren’t able to get him.

I don’t see how Boogie works there. Boogie loves his touches. Steph and Klay love their touches too. You think Boogie’s gonna play a rim protector role like Javale did? Of course not. Sometimes too much of a good thing isn’t so great.

He works there because there's no Boogie until at least January. By the time he gets back, he's likely to have figured out how to fit into the system. When he gets back they'll probably make him a bench scorer for them. Then hopefully eventually (for them) he is back with enough ability to get into the starting lineup, but they'll use him to ballast the team while guys sit. Now for them, the hope is, they'll not have that lull they had when Iguodala went down in the post season.

Seriously. We've had an amazing summer. LeBron effing James and a bunch of role players that are 100% better than what we had last season.

There's still time and a little bit of cash. Let's bring back BroLo and let's call it a summer. See Kawhi or Klay in a year.

Boogie kryptonite is on the defensive end. He can’t defend the pick n roll for sh*t even when he’s healthy. I can’t imagine he will make a huge difference for them especially coming back from that type of injury. Wouldn’t lose sleep over it.

I thInk it’s imperative we try to bring BroLo back. The thought of Javale being our starting center for a full season gives me the quesies.

Honestly, the one deal that's pissing the s*** out of me right now is our dumb a** Lance deal. I was feeling Hart and KCP getting squeezed a bit last season so we add another 6'5" guy? You know we're gonna run Lonzo and Rondo out there at the same time once in a while. We now have too many guys who should get playing time.

    Rondo
    Lonzo
    KCP
    Hart
    Lance
    Ingram
    Kuzma
    Lebron
McGee (who can only play a certain number of minutes)
The other center we sign with our remaining cash

Where are the minutes going to go...especially when we inevitably sign Melo?

Pretty much - we won 35 games last year. With these guys? I'm aiming for 48-52 and a top 5 seed.

If one of the young guys pop, we may be a top 3 seed.

    We're in fantastic position.

Does anyone think Rob and Magic played their cards in the wrong order?

Instead of offering Stephenson the 4.5mil exception, they should have offered it to Rondo... so that when they renounced Randle, they could have had between 9mil-12mil to offer Boogie. It would have made the decision harder for Boogie to turn down twice the amount of money for essentially a rehab year.... and they still probably could have gotten Stephenson for the vet minimum.

Or do you think we did offer Boogie 9-12 mil and he still said no so we gave the money to Rondo?

I'm really anxious to see what else Magic gives us this year, not saying we are getting a superstar but I think he has some stuff for us still.
