Also, interesting from a roster standpoint.

There isn't a lot of shooting on that team.

Wow yeah something has to be in the works. The roster as is shouldn't be the favorites over the Warriors so this likely means we're going to get Kawhi and we probably won't give up too much for him (hopefully).

Unless we end up unloading most of our wing depth for Kawhi I'd rather not pursue Melo.

Wow. Kawhi is definitely coming now. And I have no doubt Melo is coming now with what's going on in OKC.

I'll take Melo as a 6th man for the minimum. Sorry, that's too good to pass up.

He wants to start, he doesn't believe he's anywhere near a bench player

You're assuming he's willing to come off the bench when he's given every indication that he will not. Maybe Lebron can convince him otherwise but I saw enough of him last season that I do not want him on this Lakers team.

If Bob Mcadoo can come off the bench, Melo can.

Can a cap expert chime in here? If we don't actually sign McGee, KCP, etc until we figure out the Leonard/Cousins situation. Can we get those guys, and then use our exceptions to sign the rest and go over the cap? We have KCP's bird rights, and the other folks we signed were all exceptions right?

Bobby Marks on the *vomits* Will Cain show, said a Kawhi trade is too difficult money-wise now with the deals we’ve agreed to (Tom Penn said the same on Golic & Wingo). Also agreed with Cain that the Lakers shouldn’t be impatient and do a deal and lose all our core when in 2019 Kawhi, Durant, Kyrie, Butler, Thompson are all free agents, and Towns and Porzingis are RFAs. Said Cousins is best served taking a big one year deal in NO and proving himself. Said Randle (and Mintz) want a 3 year deal, but the Lakers are clearly only giving one year deals, and as we see, there’s no one giving Randle a multi-year deal. Said he’d be best served taking a one year 15 mil deal with us and becoming unrestricted in 2019 (he said he didn’t do all the numbers on our cap situation so that Randle offer might not be that much). Lastly he said Capela was expected to get one of the first deals out there, so he must not like what he’s been offered, and might take his QO and become unrestricted in 2019 as well.
