the concern here is that ramona--noted team mouthpiece--is reporting this. we had already heard that dmc wanted la. but today, ramona reiterates. did we get some bad news on plans A-F?

I don’t love hearing it either, I never really liked Cousins, and I don’t expect the same guy post achilles injury. I still think all signs point to us getting LeBron though, which seems to be plan A, so if Cousins meant PG back to OKC, yeah I’d be a little disappointed. At the same time it’s just nice to hear that all these players see us as attractive place to play again. PG, Cousins, Kawhi (even Lillard said in a tweet before if the Blazers didn’t want him he’d like to play for Utah or the Lakers).

Meanwhile Orlando has a log jam at center.

Wait...what? How about ex-Magic Howard to Mavs with the available cap they have to make up the buyout difference?

Or Boogie heard about the superteam that we're forming and wants in. Get a ring while he tries to play his way back to a bigger payday and shake his bad reputation. PG, Bron, DMC to LA confirmed.

^^^^Haha, would be hilarious if he hears about DJ coming here to team up and then thinking, nah, I'll be that dude instead.

He isn't getting a max from us (Cousins). As I mentioned, I'm not much of a fan, but he is very talented.

If no injury, we're probably looking at a LBJ/Cousins summer...

Until he signs on the dotted line, I'm unsure.

I think Lebron is coming for sure, though.

You couldn't play on one of your son's teams. Tiny balls.

LOL!! I'll always respect you LTL. You were a very loyal solider during the tank years.

    Those are over, though.

Where did they pull that one out of? Cliff Paul's butthole? Last thing this team needs is two 40% free throw shooters in the starting line up. Especially with one making 24 million per.

True in some ways. Having a rim threat like DeAndre would be helpful for sure. But DeAndre is a lot less skilled than Brook Lopez so in some ways it'd be worse.

Can someone educate me if we are allowed to do this?

Tender the qualifying offer to Randle before July 1, thus making him a RFA.

In the event LeBron/PG do agree to come and we need to free up the cap space Randle’s cap gold has to sign them, are we allowed to retract our qualifying offer for Jules? I know this would make him a UFA but I’m just curious if we can retract our qualifying offer, essentially taking our offer off the table.

if we could do that, wouldn’t it be better because at least we would still have the option to keep Randle by matching a offer once July 6 hits in the event we don’t get our max players?

Yes we can do that. That's what happened last year with Pope.

Listening to Z Lowe tonight; saying there really isn't anybody on the Dallas roster that the Clippers would want; says it would more/less be a favor to DJ.

I think he is opting out myself.
