I mean you have Leonard and LeBron on the same team with one of the kids and one more solid vet, that's a championship level team (given Kawhi is healthy).

if they're enrolling there, i think the tampering case is ironclad. at least la has space.

I was gonna say if it is true. Lebron enrolled his kids in school in Houston. Meaning hes gonna sign with the rockets. Yet the rockets dont even have the cap space to sign him out right. So it's pretty obvious some tampering are being done. But it's not the lakers so everyone will just look the other way.

If we're looking for the longest window, this is what we should probably hope for. Sign PG. Trade Lonzo, Kuz, Deng (for salaries) and a couple 1sts for Lillard. Sign Kawhi outright next offseason. That leaves us with Ingram and Hart and possibly whoever we signed to the room exception if they signed a two year deal. We then can use the room exception again to combine another useful player with Leonard.

    2019-2020 Lakers
    c-Noel
    pf-Ingram
    sf-Kawhi
    sg-George
    pg-Lillard

Bench - Hart, 2019 first rounder, 2019 Room exception, 4 ring chasers

(I'm not married to Noel at all BTW. Just using him as an example.)

I don't know why, but I have a feeling something is going to happen here. I have a feeling either at or around the draft we're going to see 2/3 kids go with Deng somewhere and the Lakers are getting Kawhi. I think there's just a wild amount of smoke here in terms of ancillary things. I've just got a good feeling about this.

Magic and Rob did make it crystal clear too from the exit interviews to each of the players that between than (April) to right as FA is starting July 1st would be their playoffs to show them if they are worth sticking around in so many words.

Based on what we get from reports I don't feel like we're in a great position to say how each player is doing but Rob and Magic know and will do what they think it best. Won't be easy for some of us losing our guys (looking directly at myself because when struggling with a group of guys I grow attached to them. Want to see them succeed) if something happens.

I've been saying to everyone I know in real life, something big/crazy is going to happen. Some doubt me, but the others are ready to dust off our Laker car flags.

^^^Last year, 2 days before the draft, we dumped Mozzie.

    4 days till June 19th.

If we included dumping salary to get Kawhi...

Bumping the Deng thread in 3...2...

I guess because of late I am sort of the opposite side of this. Sure, all the news is very exciting and all, but until I see at least the first domino drop I'm going to try and stay away from the optimism.

Why wouldn't Kawhi wear number 12 in that pick?

    What about:

Atlanta in: Lonzo Ball, #25, Luol Deng, Zubac
    Atlanta out: #17, Schroder

    San Antonio in: #17, Schroeder, Ingram, 2020 1st, 2019 2nd, 2020 2nd
    San Antonio out: Kawhi

    LA in: Kawhi
    LA out: Lonzo, Deng, Zubac, #25, 2020 1st, 2019 2nd, 2020 2nd

Schroder might not be a perfect fit for San Antonio's roster, but Ingram is and they'd net 4 picks out of it. Two solid youngsters and four picks. That's a great return for a guy who wants out. I think that's a better return than what the C Bags are rumored to be offering (one low pick, one high pick next year, and Brown).

Atlanta upgrades from Schroder to Ball while moving back in the draft just 7 spots in order to take on Deng. This is a slam dunk for them.

LA clears out Deng's and Lonzo's cap space. We lose the first this season, but hold on to our pick next year to make sure we're staying in the Stepien Rule.

LA rolls into the off-season with: Kawhi, Kuzma, and Hart as their only guaranteed contracts. That leaves them with 69 million in cap space after they waive their rights to everyone. They have enough room to sign LeBron and George with a little bit extra to sign a point guard (Tony Parker is probably out) and the Room Exception to get a big.

    Rondo?/Melton
    George/Hart
    Kawhi/??
    LeBron/Kuzma
    Lopez/Bryant?

I like it alot Real...but frankly I'll like anything that creatively needs us LALA(bronard) & PG in P&G

Anyways here's a off-season resource for all the teams by Bobby Marks.

I’m not letting go of both Zo and BI just to get Kawhi. I know one was to drop Deng, but that’s not worth it IMO.

I’d rather keep the young core and wait for Kawhi in 2019.
