    I sort of agree. Weird how that works. God I hope we can get both of them. I want the basketball world to light on fire with the Lakers on top again.

    I wonder if Sirron is referencing the CP3 + LBJ possibility when questioning your happiness. I would question it too if that were the case. LBJ + this current Lakers squad gets knocked out in the second round. And let's face it. If you do CP3 and Lebron, it's going to end up being Lebron and these kids only by the time the playoffs roll around. CP3 is made of paper. LBJ + PG = good news. LBJ + a maxed out Chris Paul = the second round for a couple seasons then Lebron bails with CP3 still taking up 1/3 of our cap and Lonzo has likely been shipped out for a middling "star" like DeMar DeRozan.

    This Chris Paul to us talk has to stop. I could not stand to watch the the Lakers any more. F*** em. Having James is going to be divisive with many of our fandoms as it is.

    Just talking heads bumping their gums. Right?

    I don't know where this Chris Paul stuff is coming from; he just got to Houston and came within 1 game of going to the Finals. The owner has been on record saying they are going to pay him, he's reportedly working out with JH this summer, etc.

    I think LBJ wants to play with PG; C. Paul isn't happening, IMO.

    Nobody who I respect as a source says Chris Paul is even a thought for the Lakers.

    He's getting his 200 million from Houston.

    LeBron is coming here.

    Lakers vs. C Bags in the Finals 2019 is happening.

    ^Exactly. I just read the article from Ramona and Windhorst back in December the other day; and in that article included that the idea that C. Paul and LBJ have to play together is an "overstated assumption."

    And I don't think anything has changed between now and then...

    Bron to Houston (or any team without cap like SA) watch: June 29th is the deadline for him to opt-in to his player option (to get traded or remain in Cleveland for 1 more year).

    He (and his bird rights) can still get traded into our cap space, but we could know before July free agency if he's possibly on the move to another location other than LA. (Also even if he opts out to be an UFA, Cleveland can still S&T him, but they would essentially be hard-capped themselves, which Gilbert could be angling towards, cause it gives him motive not to spend and instead to shed payroll).

    Nope. It's a media driven narrative. There's a dozen signs pointing our way right now. Magic and Rob just have to close this deal.

    1. LA entertainment aspect.
    2. Lifestyle for his kids.
    3. Wife long rumored to be here.
    4. George long rumored for LA.
    5. Young cast he has kept an eye on.
    6. Money is available for him.
    7. Rich Paul hanging with the FO.
    8. Two houses in LA including newly renovated one.
    9. Kids enrolled in LA school.
    10. Relationship/desire to be like Magic.
    11. Lack of extensive viable alternatives.
    12. We called it already, so done deal. Suck it @sirronstuff #speakitintoexistence
