Played 82 games, played two 7 game series in route to playing the entire postseason...and he's sitting with a SOFT cast with no more games to play and probably his last and biggest free agent period on the horizon.

We all knew he was outmatched. We all knew he didn't need excuses even if swept. Yet he admits to a self-inflicted injury that makes him look foolish. He wears a SOFT cast implying he can play through the injury, yet wore it with no more games to play to limit the possibility of further injury. He wears it immediately after the game cause there's no more strategy to hide the injury from the dubs.

What does he possibly gain by wearing that cast in public? He lost his cool, took it out on JR..uh a blackboard (same IQ I guess) and how exactly does that make him look good, if he just could have dodged the media blaming he was in a foul mood and wore the cast at home? What does he gain in showing it to the world?

Nah, it's what he loses...treat an injury asap to prevent further injury and then make sure you head into free agency 100%....Boogie knows all to well about that.

On second thought he totally played up that "injury" just like he dyed his eye red before each game.

The hate this dude gets haha...y'all on one for real.

Actually I haven’t seen one real media source portray LeBron as foolish today. Every headline is “LeBron played most of the Finals with pretty much broken hand”. No headline said “LeBron plays with self-inflicted injury, is an idiot on the level of Enes Kanter”. So that’s what he gains, sympathy, an extra excuse. Aw, poor LeBron, he hurt his hand because JR Smith is so stupid. I don’t genuinely care though, I’d still take him on this team (as long as Chris Paul isn’t involved).

I'm basing the situation on how I feel about it. I don't need talking heads to tell me how to assess a situation.

Soft cast tells me that bone wasn't severely affected. Ligaments, tendons and muscle fiber is a whole other story. Showing up to the media with a cast after game 1 just adds attention to the injury and could lead to intentional trauma. Remove that out of the equation and when no games remain to be played, it's no longer strategy and instead it's refocusing attention and resources on treatment. I'm sure he dipped into his 1.5M budget, but it's $75 well spent to get that glove on his hand asap.

I didn't hear too much noise (if any) about how his eye injury could have affected his shooting in Games 2-4.

There's rational hate and then there's this. It's getting to be too much...but honestly I understand it cause there's irrational Bron love that saturates sports media. I just think it's best for the "haters" to not become the exact opposite of what's across the aisle. For every Wright, there's a wrong (aka Skip haha).

    I don't mean to be condescending, but #HateBetter. ;)

Thank you for tuning in to the national hater service announcement provided by yours truly...now you can return back to your regularly scheduled (hater) programming.

Btw, I absolutely think Bron was a dope for injuring himself in that manner. I would be livid if he pulled that s*** on our Lakers... But after getting rid of Swaggy, JC and DLo, I think we washed our hands clean of dopes. Anyways, Bron should be better than that. Just harbor that frustration and take it out on the dubs for the remainder of the series, if not, next May with someone more cerebral, like PG (hopefully).

How could you feel comfortable posting this.
    :Kobepuking::sick::Tabarnak:

I know you meant Lebron’s fourth season not his second season. Just wanted to correct that.

And as I stated, the championship years for Jordan was between 90-98. The championship years for Lebron was between 2010-2018. When both these players had everything in place to start competing for and winning championships.

For example, Kobe’s championship years were between 1999-2004 and then 2007-2011. When you are comparing players championship years, these are the years you compare. If you’re comparing “careers” that’s when you take everything into account as a whole. Why is this argument silly again?

I think comparing Jordan’s early years (before having everything in place to compete) to Lebron championship years (having everything in place to compete) are laughable and I can never understand why these media nuts do it.

If I implied this, it was not my intention. I never compared the two.

Lebron s*** is gonna take time... The Kawhi situation is really low key the most intriguing to me. Possible Paul George 2.0 situation.

Honestly I'm not happy with the whole hand injury thing. Excuse or not, it just comes off poorly. I'm sure his hand hurt (why lie and make it look worse?) but the timing is obviously a deflection for him. Just keep it to yourself.

I think the point of contention was your position that he wasn't important to the team and we'd see that as free agency unfolds with Magic and Rob and Luke's choices coming to pass. And if any more than 12M the three of them are fools. So my guess is he will be paid more than 15M ... hopefully no more than 17-18 and still be here. At which point you can't continue to maintain that you know more than the entire organization. Well ... we all know you actually can and will but can laugh at that if you do.

I lose if he's gone with the caviat if the Lakers were offering 16-18 and he left because some other front office offered him over 20. In spite of what you proclaim that indicates Randle is more than a marginal role player in the eyes of actual general managers in the league.

Randle might be a casualty of our two max plan, unfortunately...

Certainly. But I think they will do their damndest not to let that happen. Including matching on too high of an offer after locking up the FAs (hopefully) and retaining at least the valuable asset to trade later if need be. Unless he gets a crazy high offer.

Any other superstar would be hammered for jeopardizing his team's chances to win. Especially when HE IS the team's chances to win. Sadly I have to admit that I wonder if he did it on purpose after game 1. Should be far fetched but it isn't that far fetched. This gives Lebron an out if his team loses which they did. It also give him better praise for "braving through" the injury and putting up those numbers. It is amazing how easily it is for this dude to get off from real ridicule.
