Perfectly well said. So much of the "GOAT" discussion comes down to circumstances. What if Bill Russell had been a Laker and Jerry West a C bag? The Finals MVP becomes the "Jerry West" award instead. Guaranteed.

What if Kobe didn't play with one of the worst Laker rosters of all time from 05-07? He might have another ring or at least another Finals appearance or two. For that matter, what if the CP3 trade never gets vetoed? Does Kobe end up with 6 or 7 rings with a CP3/Dwight Howard combo and him at the head?

What if, what if, what if. The reality is you play with the cards you're dealt. The true greats make it work. Kobe, Jordan, Magic, Kareem, LeBron, Russell. They did that. Hate away on any of those players, goodness knows they have enough haters.

It’s not and I’ve said that to countless fanboys. Lebron’s Decision although ridiculous was nothing and I mean nothing compared to what KD did. That was the all-time weakest move in sports history.

Am I the only one that is actually starting to like Lebron more than Durant? Durant always seemed so humble and workman-like when he was with the Thunder. Now he has a 73 win team behind him and he seems so much cockier.

@tada Being one win away from a Finals berth by having a 3-1 lead on a 73-9 regular season team, only to join that squad the next year.

Bron hasn't done anything remotely as soft as that. Just stop.

Things that I have seen to hate Bron now:

Justify cupcake...a guy that has directly come in the Lakers way towards a title. A guy that is now being compared to Kobe...W.T.F???

Justify '09 Lakers title team around Kob to Bron's current team as comparably bad...we're now hating a guy to the point of s***ting on Lakers guys that helped Kob and our Lakers get a title.

Justify bodily harm/career ending injury to Bron...sorry @Punk-101, I had to bring that crazy post up. But your hate game is on another level.

Justify hating Bron more than the cbags...this doesn't need an explanation by me into just how wrong and how much of a fail it is.

I guess I should respect y'all hate game...but it's gotten to the point of temporary insanity.

Y'all can hate the guy but to these means is laughably ridiculous. I've never called anyone's opinions dumb...and I still haven't.

This to me is the worst. How anyone can look at these sorry *** Cavs and compare them to one of our great Laker Championship teams is beyond me. A team with continuity that went to the Finals 3 times in a row and won back-to-back titles is the same as the steaming crap of the Cavs? The only player worth half a shake is Love and he's clearly outmatched out there 90% of the time. We're comparing that Kevin Love to 1st Ballot Hall of Fame Pau Gasol?

Bron is the most valuable player in these Finals and he deserves the trophy. Same goes for Kobe when we sucked and Nash "stole" 2 of his MVP awards.

    I don’t think I can express how much I don’t want that.

I will seriously struggle wanting to watch my favorite team play if we sign LeDouche.

He’s coming into his own as a person, but he does have rougher edges right now.

However, it would take YEARS of complete douchiness to compete with that ahole LLLLLL In my book. But that’s just me.

I never said Durant's decision wasn't soft. What I can say for certain is that LLLLLL has become Durant's designated biotch in the Finals for two consecutive years. So whether right or wrong, Durant's Decision makes me very happy.

I’ve never liked the MVP concept. I’d much rather they called it the Champion award or some such. As it is, there is no debating that LeBron is more valuable to his team than either KD or Steph is to theirs. He is probably 60-70% of that team.

Take either KD or Steph off the Warriors and they still beat the Cavs. Take LeBron off the Cavs and they lose every game by 50.

Pretty easy to say when you have 2 all stars behind you. Put Durant in Lebron's shoes and Lebron in Durant's it'd be completed reversed.

Let's not take things out of context here.

How anyone is overlooking Lue's god awful coaching is beyond me. Anyone can coach a stacked team with Lebron and Kyrie, but he's reverted back to D'Antoni running 7 man rotations and everyone is completely exhausted chasing around Golden State. He finally plays Rodney Hood who was the only player other than Lebron trying to fight. Clarkson barely got time, Nance got no time, two guys we know who can contribute in an instant. Right now, the team is forcing the ball through Lebron when he's looking to create. It's not working.

Put Lebron in a team oriented, open offense like ours, he'd have much less pressure on his shoulders to work. And yes, he would need PG here to provide a little release valve to score as he had with Wade and Kyrie. He doesn't have that one his current squad and his wheels are run to the ground.

Trust me, I've "hated" Lebron as much as the next Laker fan, but some of the hate he's getting is unwarranted. He's playing his heart out, putting up monsterous numbers, but no team can compete with what Golden State currently has.

That is on Bron. He had a good coach and fired him and replaced him with Lue, who is probably the worst coach in the league.

The win/loss record of the 2018 Finals has no bearing on LeBron's talent. Durant had every right to go and play for a better team and the Warriors had every right to recruit him. But Kevin frickin' Durant joining a 73-win team will never stop being ridiculous. It's shocking when they lose.

Well, Blatt was no genius either. They had so many other options other than Lue.

Their biggest mistake was letting Kyrie go to the frickin C Bags.

And this is why talk of exhaulting KD over LeBron is pure b*******. Wait until LeBron’s body gives out or KD gets his own team and leads them to a championship and then you can start the talk.

So Durant should come here and lead a new team to a chip. Championships with 2 teams puts you in rare company. With 3 teams has never been done, and it's on Bron's list to try to do.

Durant is about to win back to back titles. And likely back to back Finals MVPs. Durant is not going anywhere. The Warriors are going to be Durant and Curry for the next 5 years. If anything, Klay may be the man who ends up breaking the 4 man prime on that team.

I know it's Sirron's nightmare but I do think there's a very good chance LAbron joins us. Philly's a mess and honestly they are a worse fit for him. Houston has to perform cap space miracles to even think about signing him and in so doing has to gut a 65 win team that took GS to 7 games.

We're the most realistic and best option for him if we sign PG. They may not beat GS in year one, but I think with a little learning curve and maybe a trade or signing somewhere down the line we could take them in 2019.

The only place Lebron could be a bigger deal than he already is would be with us in LA. It would be pretty earth shattering really.
