Simple with the owners. The players were costing the league Big Money. Do it on your own time.

And since I seemed to have derailed this, lets steer this back on track...

Dare I tell you another story?

It was 2006 and Kob (who avg. 35.4 pts per game and had his 81 Wilt moment that season) and his Lakers were up 3-1 against the Suns in the playoffs. Kobe tirelessly carried an ill-fitting team during that particular run and scored 50 in Game 6, but still lost in OT.

Heading into a decisive Game 7, Kob shot only 16 times the entire game...shot only 3 times in the 2nd half of that game with LA trailing big.

Bron got tired after his 50 piece game 1 set....maybe the same happened to Kob. Maybe they were following a game plan to get their teammates more shots cause them going off offensively didn't lead to Ws.

The only thing indefensible, is your unreasonable hate bro. Try hating the right way...cause the BS you spewing makes you a total arse.

    :Brows:

Btw, these athletes have every right to demonstrate. This entire anthem protest was spearheaded from minorities facing unjustifiable police brutality. You got bad apples on both sides for sure, but anytime you see a cop, a citizen gets nervous...and why is that? They take authority to a whole new level. A beautician goes through more training than a cadet getting a gun...now ain't that some bulls***.

The Sterling Brown case should galvanize NBA players into demonstrating. This ain't about disrespecting our military and servicemen...its about shedding light on an injustice. f*** you and your feelins if you decide to make it something else.

And I guess I just derailed it again...

Attention on police injustice is good.

    Defending LLLLLLebron is bad.

If you really think it’s irrational, you need to visit www.IhateLeBron.com again and refresh yourself with some of his golden material over the years.

He’s LeDouche. Yes he’s a great player, and I’ve never denied that. But I also don’t want him on my team, and I will never root for him.

This is a quote from LeBron...

I know he's a douche but some of y'all need to realize that this guy is ultra competitive but demonstrates it differently than say Kobe or Jordan. He wants to win! Isn't that what we want?

At the end of the day, if LeBron wants to join the Lakers and can help this franchise add more championships to pass the C Bags, I would welcome him with open arms.

I'm on board because I want the Lakers to win and win now!

    I loved this post man.
    :Headbang:
Not too much I disagree with. You more or less summed up the trueness of my hate. The media and fanboys are just so ridiculously overbearing that it makes the hate of the player justified. I admit that my hate is or has been influenced by factors outside of the player Lebron James. I’ll even say that I believe Lebron outside of basketball might actually be a cool dude, but inside the NBA, he’s pretty unbearable even without the media and fanboys.
    :Tabarnak:
And to be honest, for reasons that he brings on himself, I honestly don’t feel bad for the hate.
    :Laughingcop:

All in all, although this post may sound like I’m softening, my hate will continue even if and when he comes here. And if everything transpires the way I’ve mentioned it man oh man...

I just wanted to clarify & elaborate about my post in the PG thread re: Lebron "GMing". My guy told me lebron doesn't just demand/suggest FA signings and trades. He LITERALLY orchestrates the trade talks, on the phone with other GMs. He had a CLE/DEN/IND 3 way set up to get PG to CLE, but Prick-hard turned it down. I have supreme faith in Magic and Rob that ish like that won't happen here.

LeBron also doesnt trust the management of the team he's on. That wouldn't be the case here.

There’s catering to stars and then there’s Lebron. He does this crap with us and I’m going to pop a vein.

The books written about LeBron after the days of the media kissing his butt for access should be solid gold. Can’t wait.

I saw this episode of Mason & Ireland referenced on LG, because Pete Zayas (LakersFilmRoom, Golden Throat on LG) was on that show today to explain his comments about entertainment industry people saying LeBron was coming to the Lakers. Some site ran with his comments as legit rumors and put out a headline claiming this and that, and Pete didn’t want his name attached to comments taken out of context and used for clicks. So Mason and Ireland asked him to come in and he did to clear things up. But anyway, posters there referenced Jeff Katz (someone I believe realdeal mentioned) going at it with Windhorst a year ago because Katz said he believes %100 percent LeBron is coming to the Lakers this offseason. Apparently Dwyane Wade’s brother told Katz all about the LeBron, Wade, and Bosh’s Miami plan a year before it happened, so he knows these things go on behind the scenes well in advance. If anything this is worth a listen just to hear Windhorst get so pissed (I don’t think any media member gets as angry as fast as Windhorst, guy has so little sense of humor), and to hear Katz call out the media for knowing all these things and keeping them secret and lying to us all the time. It’s also not a long listen, they talk to Windhorst, then they talk about why Katz thinks LeBron is coming to the Lakers, and the rest is Jeff Fisher NFL talk and the Clippers moving to Seattle talk. Remember, this was a year ago.

    http://pc-cdn.espnradio.com/audio/3...8565e0699b37060a86bba76bda3ba1f2558b71d8cb50c

Windhorst IS right, and Katz concedes that, things can change. Maybe LeBron sees that Houston almost beat GS and he didn’t expect that so soon, but I dunno, a lot of things pointing the Lakers direction for over a year now.

Anyone hearing these rumors about LeBron having a discussion with the Warriors? I think they are just making that up for media hoopla/entertainment.
