If no Lebron or Kawhi... Sign pg, sign Capela, sign&trade Randle for god knows who/what(picks?), sign boogie on a 1 year prove it?

Or if no boogie how about trade Randle for Kemba and sign Lopez?

So if we miss on the big names we should immediately waste a max contract on Clint Capela? Why? There’s a really good crop of free agents in 2019 as well. That would reek of desperation to me. Capela would be a fine signing for a decent price, but not for max, if we did that we’d be idiots. We already have blessings in diaguise in our past by not paying big bucks for mediocrity because we could in players like Greg Monroe and DeMar DeRozan. Then we got impatient and made the huge mistakes of singing Mozgov and Deng to the insane deals they got. Were we to max Capela we’d be repeating mistakes like that. Guy is a nice player, but let’s not be ridiculous, he’s not quite as nice without Harden or CP3, same as DeAndre Jordan wasn’t. You don’t spend franchise player money on higher tier role players, I thought we had learned this lesson. Max contact to Clint Capela...

hmph....i did NOT expect to be capela's biggest champion in any group. he's a limited player, but he's good. if we got him, i wouldn't be sad. that's not a mozdeng signing. it's more of a harrison barnes signing. i know some people equate those, but i think those people are wrong.

If we signed Capela to a $25 million dolllars per year deal, I would be sad, I would be very sad. Another ‘Antoni system inflated stats guy. How is anyone actually gonna give a 4 year player averaging 14 and 12 a max contract? S***, if we were gonna do that we might as well just max Randle, be equally ridiculous, but at least Randle knows the system already. By the way the Thunder did this with Steven Adams and they are screwed money-wise.

I think we just want to use our cap in the most effective way. I'm totally for gaining assets to use or trade later...but seeing how dude is restricted and our cap gets tied up at Morey's mercy...no thanks.

We should max out proven max worthy players... And imho Capela ain't one of them.

 It's twoo it's twoo. I would hit Post Reply and it would just sit there like it didn't think I meant it. So I would have to hit it again. Then I see later the 2 posts like 4 times today. Not normal behavior.

Am I the only one that thinks Randle is a better FA target than Capela?

How could Capela be worth the max and Randle 30% less at $18M per? Makes no sense.

No on Capela for the max. He is a young Deandre Jordan. Good in games as a stat padder but can't be relied on when it matters.
