Skip is and never will be hilarious. He is a clown without the makeup. Crow looking troll who somehow hypnotized the less intelligent in thinking he actually has skills to analyze sports. That's usually what happens when you put publication writers on TV and turn them into TV personalities. These idiots were so used to being typewriter cowboys, then when networks started putting them on TV, their heads blew up so much and their stupid comments trended, then they took off with their BS even more.

Meh, Capela using the Laker angle to draw more money away from Houston. By all means.

I wouldn't mind him, but we're not wasting our time chasing him.

I'm in the same mindset I have been all year. I don't like Lebron, never have, but if you can sign him outright you do it. I love hearing some positivity about PG coming here. I've been dubious. We'll see. If you can pair up Lebron and PG and resign Randle you do it and don't look back. That's a rock solid core to kick GS's butts. We'd actually be in prime position to battle them with our combo of length, youth and vet leadership.

If we get PG and not Lebron I'm fine with that. Mostly I've been wanting Lebron to ensure PG comes. But if PG is down to come either way then I'm fine missing out on Lebron. We'll still need one other great player to either emerge from our young ranks or come to us in 2019 Free agency in order to take down GS. But PG would be a heck of an addition and he's young enough that we could grow into a contender.

    Tied with us though.

And if it's true Capela is getting maxed (another rumor he's starting coming from Phoenix), then they've got massive questions to answer. It'll be funny watching them pay Chris Paul 200 million and if LeBron joins that mess, he's a damn fool.

Hey he also said everyone will reject Dallas, so that's fun.

Capela absolutely needs to get paid. He can get the max. I would not necessarily give him max, but he'll get it, or close to it for sure. I really don't see how Houston can do this, but if they can - more power to them. They instantly become the most hated team in the league, and I would think that Bron gets crucified in the media for doing this again. I think the Lakers narrative is better, and that does not have anything to do with me being a Lakers fan. It's just a better story than - he joined two superstars who were waiting for him there and... oh wait, I have heard that one before.

I believe CyberX called Dwight to Houston, not sure if he’s made other predictions that happened, but he has been right before. As long as we don’t strike out in free agency, I’m good. I know a lot of people wouldn’t be content if all we ended up with was Paul George this summer, but I’d still call that a win for a team that hasn’t been able to lure a free agent star to sign here since 1996. If we added PG AND LeBron, that’s a grand slam. If we traded BI AND Kuz for Kawhi, well, honestly I’d be very sad, but if he were healthy, that’s a championship team and we’d still have Zo, Randle, and Hart, so I’d get over it.

Absolutely. At this point, I think PG is ours. We don't have to add Bron, it's not the end of the world; we would improve massively with just George and one year of experience - and the team is fun to watch. Maybe we can add Kawhi afterwards, maybe the FO is looking at renting Boogie for a year, to give him a chance. You know he wants LA badly. In any case It would be a fun offseason, and if we only get George, I'm cool with that for now. If we stay mostly healthy, that's a playoff team. A very young team, at that. No one would be able to run with us next year.

Let's not forget: Pete Zayas, Lakers Film Room/Reporter, who does not gossip has heard from 4 different sources that LBJ is coming.

I would say the odds of us getting Lebron are more at 55%-60, and I'm getting more confident by the day.

I'd be perfectly content with signing George, finding someone to take on Deng without sacrificing any core players, resign Randle, and moving on with that.

If Lebron wants to come, it'll be sugar on top. I'm not convinced the Spurs would give us Kawhi unless they know they get the better end of the deal. I also don't like the idea of destroying the culture this team developed this year for that either if we have to give up BI AND Kuz. No way.

Bringing in 3 guys who were not particularly happy with their previous situation, ask them to make it work a team that was just gutted will be a much longer process without any guaranteed results. At least if we still have BI and Kuz, we can move on from the LABron experiment and still have a team to work with.

I don't think we need to trade for Leonard for Lebron to come; I think Lebron is coming irrespective if we trade for a 3rd star or not; PG and this cast will be at 50 plus wins, and you can ALWAYS make changes through the season.

I also don't think IT is coming back for the mid-level (Cyber X gut feeling); the mid-level would probably go to Brook who fits the bill on everything you want offensively, and a good enough rim protector defensively as you want, to fill the 5 and give us some legit size when we need it. :)

To be fair, Pete said it was all entertainment sources and none of the basketball people are as confident. He did say however that the entertainment sources are ADAMANT he's coming and that LeBron has lined this up for a long time.

That being said, one of the old back-up ESPN hosts for 710 back when I used to listen was Jeff Katz (something Katz) said (probably a year ago or so) that LeBron was coming to LA. Katz is a movie producer so he was using his entertainment connections I'm sure, but he called it back before everyone knew how good Kuzma and Hart were going to be. He called it a long, long time ago and nobody believed him at the time. I'm betting Katz either has the same sources as Pete or could be one of Pete's sources.

I'm actually closer to your thinking though. I think LeBron is 20-35% looking at LA without George. I think with George he's way closer to 50% looking our way. Add in the ancillary stuff (home, wife, kids, business ventures) and I think we could be the favorite. All I know is, he's not staying in Cleveland with that mess. Is he going to go to Philadelphia which looks like a barely contained mess? Houston would have to pull off the craziest stunts to get him. I think LA is quietly the best option as long as LeBron is convinced that the kids are worth something.

Absolutely, and thank you for that insight! KK and Hart; I knew how good they would be; I called it...LOL. Of course, I'm kidding, I had no clue! Either way, they are NBA contributors 'right now' and are a very good fit (off the subject I know); that aside, Katz, was clearly hearing things 'behind the scenes" and could have the same sources as Pete is going off of...

Lebron was recruiting PG last summer; The 3 way deal that would have landed Bledsoe and PG with Cleveland that Griffin worked so diligently for was a Dan Gilbert call away from PG, and he failed to deliver (to our advantage). Thanks, Dan, and I believe those reports.

Nevertheless, we know LBJ and PG were talking about joining together last year in Cleveland; so, why not resume those talks about pairing up here in Los Angeles; as you mentioned everything is there for them right here in California.

And yes, we're the 2nd best team in the West on paper; just need a little time to gel...
