And by the way, I heard some mook on ESPN compare LeBron to God. Im not kidding. Thats a 100% serious thing I heard on 710 this morning on my way to the gym. The direct quote was something like: "By the way, LeBron in the Playoffs is better at that, than anyone else is at anything else in the world. Like, LeBron is to the Playoffs what God is to the creation of man."

The worst part is I heard someone say "that's a perfect parallel" before I angrily turned the radio off.

Its moments like this that disgust me and make me glad I stopped watching ESPN for anything other than live events. Good Lord no wonder some of you guys are fed up. I'd be fed up too if I heard that stuff every day. It's so much easier to appreciate these athletes when you're not listening to those talking heads anymore.

Yeah that’s bad even for ESPN. On Friday I was listening to two of their airheads claiming that LeBron had already surpassed Jordan as GOAT even if he never wins another Finals game.

As good as he is, I can't believe so many Laker fans want to sign up for what comes with his package.

I wonder if anyone is tracking how often LLLLL doesn’t bother to get back on D. Whatever the frequency, it continues to grow.

I’m seeing some of the same things. If he doesn’t get the foul call, he’s too busy complaining to cross mid court.

I’m thoroughly enjoying watching the C Bags dismantle this Cavs team with effort and execution and discipline

Big difference when you're not playing the Craptors, even so I fully expect a big Lebron game and win in Game 2 for Cleveland.

It’s only game 1, and all they’ve done is hold serve on home court, but they still looked good.

They are a matchup issue for the Cavs for sure

Gotta say that I am extremely happy the C Bags got it done in Game 1 unlike others **coughraptors**

But I already see Game 2 being a head scratching event. Cavs can’t make crap in game 1, Cavs make everything in Game 2. C Bags defend great in Game 1, can’t defend anyone in Game 2. Lebron can’t score, shoots 5-16 in Game 1, will be unstoppable and score 40 points on 9 shots in Game 2. Lebron has no help in Game 1, Lebron is the GOAT in Game 2.

    :LukeBackhandSlap:
And thus continues the ridiculous and obvious bias of the National Bron Association!

Hey, somebody else has figured out the narrative. It’s pretty damn boring, isn’t it? Every year, same story, same ending, fake drama along the way. LeBron destroys some unworthy high seed by round 2, sometimes ECF, (Hawks or Raptors), people make a big deal out of each game of the ECF if he loses any of them, but in the end he advances to the Finals. This is no different, LeBron has always been a frontrunner in the sense that when his team gets down big in a game that doesn’t really matter, he’ll shut it down early and prepare to come out in the next game and dominate. That’s fully what I expect in game 2 as well, the C Bags first home loss of this playoffs. This is probably a 7 game series, but in the end it will be LeBron vs GS or Houston. The only thing different this time is I take no pleasure in either side winning, hate the C Bags, don’t want them reaching an NBA Finals already, hate LeBron, like to see him lose. It’s lose-lose. I stopped watching the game in the mid-2nd quarter when I realized this fully.

I'm not convinced. This Cavs team is actually pretty weak. Yes, they could get hot or at least shoot a decent percentage instead of missing everything, and they probably will. But the C Bags defense is disciplined and they match up well. They are younger with more energy and a lot of length. I think they will give the Cavs everything they can handle and more in this series. We shall see.

LeBron is great, probably one of the best physical athletes I've seen in any sport. I mean if he were to become a Laker I'm not going to push him away.

But comparing him to God (or for those who aren't religious a higher energy) is just beyond obnoxious :D
