Let's get bold here. Which draft selection (not trade product) do you think will make the most impact THIS SEASON? I'm going with Miller, who will start. That might be too easy. Second biggest impact? Hall or Key.
Mayock and Davis really liked this pick for us...thought we stole one. Though they were quick to point Ateman doesn't have that gear to separate himself from coverage, they both lauded his talent to shield defenders with his large frame making him a viable target. Sign Bowman!
Miller with our void at right tackle should start unless he really bombs which I don't think it'll happen. Second choice? Key if he makes the cut. He'd be hell off the edge. Sign Bowman!
Agree...now we don't have to have one of our scatbacks returning punts. From what I saw of Switzer in Dallas, he is elusive in evading tacklers. He gets in open space, goodbye! Sign Bowman!
UDFAs Jason Cabinda, LB, PSU Eddy Piniero, K, UF Marcus Baught, TE, Ohio State Saeed Blacknall, WR, PSU I'm a big fan of the UDFAs. Oakland does a nice job of adding at least one player who has a chance to contribute through this process.
Developing Thoughts... Kolton Miller 6'8" 310#, OT, UCLA Best highlights clip: Thoughts on where he is: NFL rotation player Thoughts on ceiling: He's huge and athletic enough to be a potential franchise LT, but there's a lot of work to be done. -He has some flaws that you expect to see from a player who's massive compared to his competition. He also has some of the issues you'd expect to see from a generally gigantic dude. But he has a ton of talent, is an excellent athlete. Check this out: Nate Solder vs. Kolton Miller 6'8" Height 6'9" 319 Weight 310 4.96 40-time 4.95 21 Reps 24 110" Broad Jump 121" 4.34 Shuttle 4.49 7.44 3-cone 7.34 32" vertical 31.5" --His physical profile is eerily similar to Solder's, but he's arguably more athletic and a bit stronger coming into the league. Solder has posted an AV of 10+ in four of his seven seasons, and he hit 8+ in two more. In fact, with 60 AV in 98 career games, he's kicking a**.
The injury apparently not serious, will miss off-season programs but will be ready by training camp. All of a sudden, we have a bushel of corners although one is ancient (Hall) and another (Worley) looks like an arrest waiting to happen. Sign Bowman!
I think anyone we add to help put pressure on the QB. Mack is amazing but we lacked true attack on the QB for me. and someone, anyone, for the love of God that can hold onto the damn ball.
