The last 2 games could be a W for us. By that time then, Rockets may have sealed the #1 seed already while Clippers, eliminated. The 1st 4 games are also winnable with the Bucks being the most tricky one. The middle part is the difficult stretch. Stealing 1 game would be great but it's okay if we lose all 4, twice against Jazz and once against both TWolves & San Antonio. But it's homecourt so I'd say 1 game.

5-5 should be the worst, 8-2 at best. But 2-8 isn't an impossibility either. I'd go with 5-5.

37-45 for a 2017-2018 season marred by numerous injuries, building up chemistry, a lineup spearheaded by 2 inconsistent yet oozing with enormous potential All NBA 1st/2nd team rookies and 1 sophomore, at least 10 losses decided by our lack of player who can create his own shots in crunch time, a headcoach still learning as evident in countless questionable decision making skills in so many close games, 2 FA max slots, a positive outlook moving forward and an overall change in the Lakerland atmosphere with expectations of nothing less than a playoff appearance next season, I'd say it's been a great season. A final stage and conclusion of our rebuild.

    One more thing.

Ingram, Ball & Kuzma. They're the only players, under any circumstances, I absolutely expect to remain as Lakers next season. Randle's situation (i.e salary, max agents and all) and game is a little tricky so we might end up losing or letting him go. Everyone else is dispensable, including the coaching staff.

Anything above 35 is a great success without any ifs or buts.

Anything between 30 and 35 would pretty much be the average expectation.

After starting 11-27 even hitting 30 looked like fantasy. Now we will probably win in the high 30s which is amazing.

Hindsight, we should have won 40 games this year. But sadly we missed badly in December till early January.

36 is very attainable. That would put them 10 wins above last year.

Thinking we finish with 38 wins. That's good enough for me this season. Next season, should be 40's and contending for the 6th-8th seed, IMO.

I expect a big jump next year actually, and if we add a key free agent, I fully expect us to be in the 50's.

We coulda have won 40 games this year...but december stretch killed us, and then the god damn INJURIES down the stretch to Hart & Ingram also did us in.

I'll be very happy with 35 wins...didn't expect us to get close to that this year. 37 would be even better...but our schedule down the stretch is kinda tough (mostly WCF playoff teams). They're going to be playing for their playoff lives so I expect us to lose a few of those (especially if fricking Ingram is still out)

Ok, I'm bumping this. Yes it was a frustrating loss, but we came back from 20 points down in the third, forced OT, got killed by Bledsoe down by 9 then came back and would have won this game if the refs had called the fouls on those last two plays by Randle and Kuz.

We're already eliminated from playoff contention, facing a hungry, good eastern playoff team who is fighting for seeding with a rising star who got all the calls, and we did it severely undermanned without Lonzo, without KCP after he got ejected for one of the refs missed calls, and without Brandon at the end due to the concussion protocol.

Last year we don't even come close to this kind of effort. I just really want us to get to 36 wins - 10 more than last season. We're close.

Still 1:35 left. But yeah we did. Hope PG was watching. They play under Koby Karl like Luke wants to play.

Hey it would be awesome to come out of the season with 2 out of the 3 US pro basketball championships. Maybe softens the blow of no playoffs again a teeny tiny bit? Building up the organization "culture" right?

Moral victories is like going to the Prom with the hottest chick in the school and then after, she leaves the Prom without you.

My optimism is that this team is still very young and will do nothing but improve and be better next year. Hopefully we Kickstart the free agency by signing Paul George at least. Next year we're going to be one of the most talented teams at every position

Damn, keep calling me out on the super slick shade tip...April 1st is donezo like Lonzo...don't be foolish.

We got some moral victories to close out the season last year too and then we followed that up by demoralizing that unit by overhauling that roster completely. We know what we have with these guys. Luke's ingrained into them and in the case of Jules, infuriated into him, the winning culture. So shut down our babies that have boo-boos and let them hit the summer running to improve. I don't want no lingering contusions and paper-cuts to affect their summer training. Go hard at development from day 1.

We got nothing to gain really in these last handful of games. Just play out our free agents and g-leaguers to further evaluate who's really a keeper and shut down our young'ns.

BTW, I'm not discrediting our youth, but clearly they keep going in and out of the lineup, so they absolutely need to develop grown man physiques. Rushing BI back into the lineup from a lingering groin strain is foolish, particularly when you're not really playing for anything anyways. Hart needs to shut it down along with Zo and BI. Heck shut Kuz down too. They're all under contract. Play Jules, to see if he can lead and make a depleted roster competitive.....see how much he's really worth. Play BLo, KCP, Frye...all our free agents to see just how high we need to go from the vet min/exceptions for them to stick, particularly if we need to round out the lineup if Bron/PG commit. If not, then we know who to throw the most money at on a 1 year deal so that 2019 still remains an option.

If this team stayed reasonably healthy they would have had 38-40 wins. Easy. Thats pretty amazing considering how young the team is, and mid season trades.
