    I told vash, I'm not in favor of asking players who are already playing in a deflated market (salary cap) system to take less money. We as an organization haven't done that to star players and I don't expect we'll start this summer.

    I give them the option to do it, but I never ask. For instance, I'd say "we have a max offer for you and the roster would look like this. If you and LeBron chose to take ___ less money, we can also nab ___, but that's entirely up to you." Something like that. And yes, I am Rob talking to Paul George in that scenario.

    That's what I'm referring to .... you have to bring it up and for all 3 of them ... maybe Julius a little more if he wants to stay and be part of something special.

    I feel its better to operate under the assumption that if we sign any big name FA it will be for their max. Thats the kind of franchise we've painted ourselves out to be recently.

    If next year Randle plays like he has the last 30 games he will be an all star. If ingram improves as must next year as he did this year, he will be borderline.
    Future is bright.

    Alright, I'm not going to write an essay but feel obliged to respond so here goes.....

    @therealdeal

    None of those teams are real contenders. Everyone and their mom knows it's GSW or bust for the next 3-4 years. OKC had a chance had they kept their core intact (Harden) but they f***ed up. We don't want to f*** up like they did, do we? I'm on board with everything Magic and Rob have done so far. DLO, Clarkson, Nance were nice prospects but they weren't going to be allstars. They are what Harrison Barnes was to GSW. Those type of players you could afford to lose, but not players like Lonzo, Ingram, Kuzma, Randle. That's the difference between GSW or OKC imo.... mishandling this situation could make or break our future.

    I've said repetitively that I'd take PG in a heartbeat. Hell no to Lebron if it means losing Kuzma or Randle. You may find it outrageous that keeping Kuzma/Randle is the tipping point, but that's the bottom line for me. If we can keep all of our 4 core pieces AND add PG and Lebron, I'd be on board as well.

    @vasashi17

    Hey, if we get to keep our core pieces while adding PG and Lebron, I'm fine with that. The argument started because folks were talking about packaging Kuzma for a Deng dump. That's what I take issue with. I feel that would be a huge mistake

    100% this

    I think our young core can build to a championship level. It wont be next year, but like I've said, I don't want LLLLLabron, so I think we can add pieces like PG, or Clay, or Davis over the next few years until were ready.

    I feel like you don't actually read my posts and just assume what i write.

    I've repeatedly, for months now, developing plans that keep Randle as well as signing LeBron and George.

    The Warriors are no longer a team built through the draft so using them as your example doesn't even work. Durant and Iguodala and many of their role players are not home grown. They're not a completely home grown team, nobody is. There's never been a team in history built without adding a major piece and we have the ability to do that while also keeping Randle, Ingram, and Ball. It makes no sense not to do that if we can.

    We can agree to disagree, but first we have to understand each other. Bottom line is we're not that far apart right now. The only thing that separates us is that I value LeBron and winning now more than a small chance at losing Kuzma or Hart (probably Hart at this point).

    That's what I do. I assume all your posts say, "Lopez is a top 5 all-time center. Lebron James was a virgin birth. The Last Jedi was the best Star Wars movie ever. Something-something physical therapy."

    The bleep we don't. If we can keep the Big 4 and add PG or LBJ and PG. I hope you're not in the ship em all out except one or two at the most and let's buy a new team camp. If you can't see even 1 or 2 years ahead with every one of those guys I'm shocked .
