Again, father time is undefeated and you have a valid case along with Cookie and others that have brought up his health.

However, he's proven to be durable. He's proven to still be capable of playing at a high level. He's proven to lead teams into the playoffs and its hard to argue against 7 straight title runs (even if its in the East).

You add him to a young roster that will allow him to rest during the regular season. You add him to a coach that isn't known to run players past 35 minutes per game. You add him to an organization that is employing the best of the best in each department (specifically the med staff and the new UCLA Health center and partnership).

Also LaBron is plugged in and knows what a max deal would do in terms of road blocking the help he needs to achieve 3 titles in 3 cities as the man (something no star player has ever done). Also joining up with a pass first guard like Zo allows him to realistically chase down the most points scored in KAJ all while being in the P&G. I rather see Cap go down to a Laker than anybody else.

The story lines all sync up and there is no doubt in my mind that he can be effective at the very least for these next 2 years. I believe he can go till 38 with minimal drop off. Even as Nash would stretch on the sideline in Phoenix, he still performed till we brought him here at 38. Look at what Dirk is doing in Dallas. Kobe after an achilles put up 60 in his last game for the win. Bron has had no such injuries and hasn't dropped off yet.... and when he does, it would still make him a 2nd tier star at the very least.

I do understand that his contract can really stymie our potential roster additions and maneuverability, but just look to what he's done over his career. He's never really signed a true max deal. His most recent deal was 3 years 100M (which is far below the max he could have taken). I have confidence to know that he will not impede our team in getting better, since it would be in his best interest to remain competitive and add to his legacy as he fades and hands the keys to our youngns and George.

Just to clarify, Lebron may wear a Laker jersey, but he will never be a Laker. ;) :D

I'm with you. Cowherd is not a reliable source at all, he's just stating his opinions and someone else is writing about them.

    I don't know why.

I'm down with getting either Lebron or PG13 or both. If it's one of the two I'd prefer PG13 as I think he's a great fit. It'll be a little tough if we don't get either of them, but if I'm truthful I'd rather have Kawhi Leonard then either of them and we'd have a shot at him in 2019. So there's always that possibility.

I was thinking those look pathetic. So happy to learn the Lakers didn’t put those up.

Still, if I had the money, I might do some outlandish s*** too, as a Lakers fan

With their 2 first round picks this year, Beverly Back next year and Klay Thompson and K. Leonard becoming FAs next year (Klay's said Warrior forever but if something doesn't go right with negotiations or money ) ..... uh oh there's Jerry West behind the scenes with all of this calling the shots and Ballmer listening. Am more than disappointed they didn't fall off a cliff following the BG trade and that's with important defensive guys out right now.

They're going to remain pains in our ***** going forward I think. Can't wait until they're out of Staples.

That's kind of harsh. He just hates LeBron and you call in one of those nasty dragons like in Reign Of Fire? Even the Honey Badger would have a serious problem with one of those S.O.B.'s.

Haha, LT, you watch Game of Thrones buddy?

If not, block out like a week from your schedule so you can go honey badger on that s***...then come back to my post and you won't think its harsh at all. I mean Sirron had it coming...as for Savs, something needed to be done to wipe that Trump griddle off his peel.

No .... funny thing and I stream a lot .... I have never even tried to get started on Game Of Thrones. Maybe one day. I waited like 4 years to do Breaking Bad and 10 years (?) to finally do Deadwood .... and then I couldn't put them down.

I'm a sci-fi and fantasy fan, but it took me a while to get into Game of Thrones too.

Once you commit though, it's an awesome ride.

23...next jersey number to be retired? Will James deliver not one, not two but three championships if he signs on? Seriously, those billboards are just cheesy and...I have no words for it. Shrug...smh.

Maybe James can out-do Chamberlain who played five years as a Laker and delivered one.
