I'd like to keep Zubac too if at all... at all ... at all possible. He's going to be a nice / good BIG in the league. We need one of them for the teams with stud big men, even as game as Randle is decently holding his own or better against them these days.

This is true. Randle's Cap Hold, Ball, Ingram, Kuzma and Hart equal a shade under 30 million. Lebron and PG are 66 at full max. We'd have roughly 5 million to fill in the 5 cap holds.

@therealdeal and @vasashi17 - you both have some very good points and I respect your opinion. I stand by mine and would love to have a longer discussion but just don't have the time it would require to discuss all points we have touched.

That being said, I am very curious how good the both of you expect LBJ to be the next two seasons. I expect a serious decline and the reason for that is his mileage. Kobe used to stress it's importance and it seems to be a pretty significant part of the decline of NBA players. Our quick back and forth made me check LeBron's minutes played and I was surprised how high he ranks on the all time list.

I cannot find a list presenting both PO and regular season, but James ranks No. 2 and 22 respectively in both criteria separately.

I know he's a very unique talent and athlete. He also has taken care of himself (I mean avoiding playing through injuris etc.) probably like no other NBA star before. But still, those numbers are crazy. Basically all players with a similar mileage were shells of themselves basketball-wise at that point of their careers. How long do you expect LBJ to perform at an elite level?

I respect James as a player for his all-around talent with his facilitating, passing, rebounding and what is left of his defense. I'm still not convinced he can be the go-to option on offense. This brings me to George who is the better scorer though just not in an overwhelming fashion like 24 did but still very good and a far more superior defender.

Get both? All good... Get George alone? I won't weep about it. Him with Thomas, Ingram, Randle, Ball, Kuzma and Hart would be more than competent. George would fit in just nicely.

Then this is what needs to happen. I like Zu, too, but come on. If you can add LBJ and PG13 plus retain Randle to go with that young core? Forget it. We'll straight up take down Golden State next year. I'm dead serious about that.

I expect to him to be one of, if not the, best players in the league the next two years with a steady decline after that. By his fourth season under contract, he'll basically be a full time PF, but with the ability to still rebound and push the ball. His physical gifts are on par with any athlete the NBA has ever seen, it's remarkable. I think what will dull over time is his quickness which is already starting to decline and is most evident defensively. A comparison that I'd make would be Kobe after 2011. He still had much of his skill which made him dangerous, but with declining explosiveness.

I fully expect that by the end of the contract he'll be "expensive" for his on-court production. However, I believe within those 4 years we'll be in the Finals with a REAL shot at a title at least once. If we can get a ring out of the arrangement, LeBron would be worth every penny.

Besides, once he expires, we pay our kids and move into the future that many fans are eager for: built around Ingram, Lonzo, Kuzma, and Randle.

Hmm, I think I have a new favorite holiday. Until it’s moved to March 6th next year anyway.

We could recaption that: "LeBron watching Isaiah Thomas fumble away a lead for his new team."

How in the world is that not tampering from Pop after seeing the last thing they hit Magic for with the $50,000 fine?

That's hilarious and as equally pathetic as I found the Sixers ones.

Jacob Emrani is the guy advertising nonstop on 710 (well when I used to listen to 710).

It's just an article based off of Cowherd's speculations, but it does highlight that Ingram and Ball both look like the kinds of young players that LeBron truly needs right now. He left Miami when they were aging for a younger group in Cleveland even though he despises Gilbert. I think he'll look at Ingram and Ball similarly.
