Optimism Discussion: The Laker's Sky Is Not Falling

Where are all you guys while @therealdeal is beating me up about the ring being the only thing. Way to have my back.

 

What did we all say? The moment Lonzo comes back healthy, we'd be way better and we are. We may miss the playoffs but we sure can chase off the Jazz. We're just 4 games behind with all their +10 winning streak.

Dude, there is no way these are the numbers they agree to.

 

Can't remember the last time it felt so goooood to be a Lakers fan. I feel like we have a chance to beat any team in the league and most nights I actually expect a win. It has been a long time since I had that feeling.

And the best part is we are basically just beginning the rise, there is so much more room to improve among our youth it's crazy. The most other team's fans haven't really noticed yet, but they will fear the P&G again soon as they should. While everybody seems to be talking about Philly and Minnesota's talent and growth, I expect the Lakers to be better than both those teams as soon as next year.

 

It’s a shame we gonna trade at least 2 of them to appease f***Bron.

 

Because we are MORTIFIED by the destruction LeDouche may bring upon us.

 

if by "into", you mean highly against it with every fiber of our being because we care about the best interest of our franchise and our young players, and know that bad company corrupts good character.

16/21 remaining games that we have are against +0.500 teams. The good thing is, we have 12 home games against 9 roads.

Pistons
Jazz
Clippers

Of the 9, we have 1 (or 2 if we include Clips) winnable games, just the Grizzlies. We have Pistons, Jazz & Clippers fighting for the last spot in the playoffs, Warriors for the #1 seed in the west and others for positioning. I'd take 4-5 record on the road to be a huge win. 3-6 would not disappoint me but I won't be surprised either if we go 5-4 or 6-3.

At home, I'm predicting a 9-3 record the rest of the way with 3 losses coming off games against POR, CLE, SAS or HOU.

So realistically, we'll do 12-9 in the remainder of the season with 39-43 W-L card. Optimism says 15-6 the rest of the way and a +0.500 record of 42-40 which should be 3-4 games out of the postseason. Not too shabby if you ask me.

Can't wait for the 2018-2019 season to start.

 

Can't ask for more optimism when we're in the same quadrant and around the top 4 teams in the league. Holy crap.

I came here just to post something similar to this, there's an optimism surrounding the team now, I would legitimately be happy just to keep the current team and add PG to it if it were possible.
