And abeer, you're sensible which is why I'm even putting out the effort to try and understand haha.

There's alot of hoops to jump through for the Houston scenario to be even remotely plausible. Much more than LA has to do at the moment.

I'm making assumptions, but they're based off what we've seen. Its no different than the assumptions you guys make about the 2018 plan, cause its what you've seen in terms of us continuously striking out. The thing is, the decision makers have changed in the 2018 plan scenario, meanwhile all the usual suspects remain the same for Houston and Cleveland.

Morey is going to do some "Beautiful Mind" s*** to make it happen, but then that would mean Melo is already in a Rockets uni. I assume its not so easy.

Gilbert completed a S&T of LeBron before, but he did the deal in 2010 and no guaranteed money was coming back to the Cavs till 2012 in the form of a 2nd round pick. I assume, Gilbert ain't going to take on Anderson/Gordon's salary....and why should he?

You assume LeBron ain't joining a 30 win team. I assume you know about LeBron joining a 33 win Cavs team when he left Miami.

Lakers don't have to do a damn think but stretch Deng and they have just under 60M in cap space (enough to max George and get LaBron at about a 5M discount). If you find JC a home for some expirings and get a 1st for Jules, then we open up roughly north of 70M in cap space (enough for 2 max guys at 35M per). This is all while retaining Zo, Kuz and BI. This then enables us to deal for a 3rd star with those current "untouchables".

Meanwhile the Rockets will have to involve a 3rd team, possibly a 4th and convince Gilbert to cooperate.

What scenario is more far fetched? I assume the latter.

    thank you

i'd argue they jumped through the toughest hoops already: 2 stars to zero.

i've seen morey willing to sell everything he has to get a star. this is why i think he has no problem cutting ties with ariza, capela, or his sister to get lebron. tbh, morey's about himself first. and bagging lebron is probably the biggest gm achievement that exists.

i'm pretty sure the decision makers in 2007-2017 would have gone after lebron, too.

as for the usual suspects in houston and cleveland, that's what i'm banking on. gilbert has already agreed to a s&t once, why not an opt-in trade or another s&t? and houston's already nabbed two stars and turned over its entire roster several times.

i think the year passing is the difference. three years of anderson is a lot harder to swallow than two.

i'm assuming it comes with picks. it's also possible that one or both players is routed elsewhere.

in his home town, with a young established star and the #1 pick in the draft. so, they a) were his home team and a chance at PR redemption, b) were in a weak conference, c) had a legit second banana in place, and d) had a prime asset to cash. also, lebron's biological championship clock wasn't ticking as loudly.

who's the second star that's coming? who's taking the pay cut? now, i could see the lakers trading one of the untouchables for lebron if they could get george and lebron to commit.

both? but the former to me. the stars teaming up is just too fresh for me to ignore. i was on the houston possibility before the press even got onto it, and now it's quietly everywhere.

and just so it's clear: i can't stand houston. definitely my least favorite team by a longshot.

I guess we'll just have to find out this summer. In the meantime, consider how you would like it served.

him being receptive to a gsw pitch is a turn off, if we were 100% guratnteed pg13, id rather offer the 2nd max (if available) to boogie, even with injuries.

Somebody on facebook said if Lebron goes to GSW he has no d***. It reminded me of this classic scene.

Did he just list off his preferences in destination? Seeing how GS was already the topic, its cool that we were the first team he thought of.

    Meanwhile Sacramento be like...

Cavs getting destroyed by the Rockets and Lebron looks half into it. No way they make it to the finals if they can't get there stuff together.

Part of me says I want Lebron here and I am pleased to see his team losing.

The other part of me sees this GOAT sulking and getting enough stats to dissemble blame, and I think do I really want this a** clown on my team?

Chris Paul currently rolling on a +40 with a groin strain makes me long for the Alpha rich duo Paul and Kobe could have brought. I like Stan Van Gundy and I don't seem to mind Blake now he is not a Clipper.

Lebron was too sad to stat stuff and complete his triple double. Lue looking like he is on the last of his nine lives.

    Yes.

Seeing that team fail to defend a traffic cone makes me very happy.

I've been on the Bronwagon to LA and I still am. But holy s***, LaBron, some of that effortless D won't fly here bruh. If you're trying to save your legs for the move, cool. But once you're here, you better bust your a** on that side of the court to retain my support.

I am not surprised that Lebron would even admit that he would join GSW. He is now and always has been a front runner. He needs a super team or players who can take over around him. He has quit on his teams before. He has bailed when it no longer looked like he had the team to beat. I'm not sold on him coming to the Lakers. If he does, I'll support him for sure but I don't have much respect for him as a player. Talent wise? Damn sure he can ball. Someone I have to have on my team? Its cool if he goes elsewhere.

One reason LaBron chooses us in free agency. Luke's defensive philosophy: switch everything.

And folks wonder why there are crazy historical record breaking statistics occurring on a nightly basis.
