What per cent of his game roughly did he get back after the dreaded achilles rupture? (Wes Matthews from previous page)

Went from 3&D to 3&d. He'll have moments where he can shut down the opponent but it's moments. He's a slightly better man defender than KCP I think.

Nope. A midget chucker is the last thing we need. I wonder who will waste crazy money on him this summer...

Sure. I don't see any way Cleveland goes for that though.

I’d wait a year to determine health. Not sure I see the fit if his defense is so poor. He’s not playing better than JC today

well i was basing IT3 as it being expiring, if he recovers his bos form he is alot better than jc offensively, just $ would be a deterent to keep him....

there's reports that clev players are getting tired of his crap, its being reported hes harping on cavs players for not practicing enough even though he himself doesnt play back to back, is a terrible defender and has been shooting terribly

My armchair (husband of a doctor) analysis: DeMarcus Cousins just tore his Achilles.

It shouldn't affect how much he's offered in FA given his talent level, but something to watch out for. Huge, huge bummer for him though and I wish the best for him.

Non contact, not a good sign, looks really bad. That’s a damn shame, he’s having a tremendous season.

Woj is saying Pelicans are indeed fearing its a severe Achilles injury, awaiting MRI to confirm.

Do we still offer the max? Any success stories of a relatively young player coming back from an Achilles injury without being significantly impacted?

Yeah, dude, I'm not sure I give him the max if I'm the Lakers. We need to nail this Free Agency, and while I know we need top shelf talent, it scares the heck out of me to lock him up to so many years and $$$ coming off an injury like this...

    I think this changes things...

I don’t believe a single player to ever have a ruptured achilles was ever the same again, if that’s what this is. Cousins is a BIG dude, I don’t think that helps, he will need to lose weight. This could indeed cost him some money in free agency, unless NO is loyal to him, or some team desperate for a star pays max to get even a damaged one.

He needs to change his diet and lose over 35-50 lbs to put pressure off his Achilles once it heals. Hes a big dude and hope it's not career affecting injury. Kobe came back at the end of his career from such a devastating injury I'm sure a young big boy boogie can
