Agreed. Why is Nance being considered? He's a real solid backup power forward. He makes 2.3 million next season. I don't understand why we're looking to trade him AND Randle. We trying to clear up minutes for Deng or something? Having our pf rotation only cost 4 million next season is what makes Deng's albatross somewhat manageable.

Meanwhile Niko On Twitter started following Mitchell and....the Salt Lake City Tribune??? As JC eloquently put it, "TF"

Maybe this is why there was a public report that came out how the Bulls can take away his no-trade clause and ship his a** anywhere they want after Jan 15. I don't see why Chicago would want Favor's expiring deal when they have plenty of cap space and have LaVine's birds rights to extend the kid this summer.

Meanwhile Favors and JJ's expiring 22M is something LA would want from Utah...right?

We'd probably like it, but what do we send out? Clarkson might fit well as the 3rd guard behind Mitchell and Rubio. But what else goes to make up the other 10 million? Corey Brewer? Clarkson and Brewer for JJ and Favors is actually a pretty solid trade for both teams.

I was being optimistic for a Deng dump haha.

Deng/Randle is equal in salary to JJ/Favors. JC/Deng also works, but Jazz have to send an additional 500K (Jazz have two players making $800K) for it to work and LA has an open roster spot after the Bogut waiver.

Seriously who is Utah going to recruit there, when the most Utah dude there is (sorry white people), just picked up his bags and went to Boston?

    kcp/ennis/den 2nd for IT/frye/clev 1st or Osman...who days no?

kcp can replace jr smith lack of production, we get an asset in either osman or clev 18' 1st. IT could be a decent backup plan signing if we get no max lvl fa n or move jc

Frye would make a decent stretch big...not much else however. I would prefer the Utah trade. Johnson would be that closer we can use and Favors is serviceable rim running big.

From SI. Nothing new we all don't know or speculated upon:

    • The Lakers have made Larry Nance Jr., Jordan Clarkson and Julius Randle available in an attempt to shed salary before chasing high-profile free agents this summer. Of the Lakers' young players, it seems that only Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram are untouchable. (Adrian Wojnarowski, ESPN)

    • The Thunder's Big Three of Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony and Paul George hasn't gelled as well as they'd like, and there's been some question as to whether Oklahoma City would consider moving George, who will be a free agent after the season. But the team is reportedly fully committed to playing out the rest of the season with him on the roster. (Adrian Wojnarowski, ESPN).

^^^We can make it a 3 teamer and that's actually preferable since it would send Randle out East away from our conference.

    http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yc4jxvbq

P.s Since Niko can't be traded till the 15th, I substituted RoLo instead, cause other than making 1.3M more than Niko, they have similar contracts and that type of difference would be easy to make up by adding marginal trade assets to the core principles of the deal.

Definitely think Mirotic will be traded to Utah, they've been flirting with each other for the past couple weeks.

^^^Really....after giving him that fat contract, the Clips want out already? I wonder if the Wolves get those t-shirts too as part of the deal?

Leave it to the clips to keep giving us classic fails....they're the Mr. Hoosiers of the NBA. Just play ball and don't Sayjak till you actually do or win something.

I’d laugh and hang up immediately. Towns is in his 3rd year and averaging 20 and 12, shooting 59% overall, 40% from 3, and the Wolves are rolling along, currently comfortably in the 4th playoff spot, right outside the 3rd. Why the hell would Minny mess with that by swapping a 22 year old star for a 28 year old often injured player who isn’t as good. I’d have to hear the full details of the proposed detail I guess, but I can’t see how a KAT for Griffin swap benefits Minny at all.

Yeah there is the financial aspect plus the fact that if he surrounded by superior offensive players , his weaknesses would be less visible and he would be more useful in this situation .

clips couldn't be serious with that. must be a leak to try and boost griffin's asking price in trade. i'm guessing this means he's on the block and they're getting crap offers.

I'd give Minny everyone on our team not named Ball and Ingram for KAT. Actually I'd probably throw in Ingram as well.

I feel bad for KAT being involved in trade rumors right now, especially when he doesn't warrant one.
