Yep, that would put us both at 14, they still have a tougher schedule, but also have a much better team. I wonder how those last 2 games against the Sac Queens will look like, when we both jockey for the better tank position. I would just sit all veterans, specially Young and Lin.
The funny thing is that we have a lot of players playing for new contract-staying in the league: Lin, Boozer, Hill, Wes, Davis and they want to show thier game...

I think you guys are giving our roster way too much credit. We play hard in stretches but we stink. Byron will go back to playing the young guys and the losses will start back up.

Not really, i have 5 wins: NYK, 1 Minny, 2 Philly and 1 random and the schedule from Minny is very tough, so it will be hard to pass them.

Definitely. Young is "hurt" again, Boozer will go back to his bench role, Lin will go back to being inconsistent.

When we win one game people tend to worry we'll win more. Don't worry! We suck! And even when we start to make progress, Byron switches rotations and things around so that we still lose the game! Our tank game is sneaky strong.

All we need to do is lose two more games than Minny and we play them twice! We're in "good" tanking shape.

When we're good, we freak out when we lose. When we're bad, we freak out when we win. Us Lakers' fans are a silly bunch of chicken-littles (myself included as to not mean any offense).

I'm not as broken up about the C Bags win this year as I was last year, when they were much closer in the standings.

Another bad night for the tank with both Minny and Philly losing. Minny looked good though, they might steal a few wins here and there...I hope.

LOL! What a freaking joke. And to think we pay a revenue sharing that gets distributed to this travesty of a team...

I think the lakers give even if they're under the cap, right?

There's a good article explaining how it works; from my understanding, we give even if we're under the cap. It's averaging out to be about $50 million annually distributed among the other small-market teams.

The Lakers large profit is even more impressive considering that they are also set to contribute the most to the revenue-sharing program according to Grantland’s Zach Lowe:

'Holy cow, the Lakers! They end up with that huge profit despite contributing a league-high $49 million to revenue sharing [...] A few teams, including the Lakers and Knicks, play in markets so large they are disqualified from ever receiving revenue-sharing payouts.'

Yeah the number isn't a cap figure from my understanding, it's a revenue figure. The Lakers and Knicks are constantly going to be sources of great revenue so they'll constantly be giving revenue-sharing payouts.

Congratulations Charlotte, Milwaukee, Sacramento, and Philadelphia. You'll still get some compensation despite treading water for 20 years.

I felt like the last CBA should have been about contraction and kicking teams like Charlotte to the curb. Instead it was all about placating the loser franchises and penalizing the perennial winners such as the Lakers. It wasn't even about the small market teams necessarily. Look who got reamed by the CBA - the poster child of the small market team success story, OKC. They weren't able to keep all of their stars together because of the luxury tax consequences and had to bite the bullet with Harden. They haven't sniffed the Finals since.
