    He’s a facilitator
    I’m a closer

Or if you look at it another way

    I’m not a facilitator
    He’s not a closer

LLLLL Pwned by Kobe “not a closer” smack even in retirement

It’s going to be interesting to see how LLLLL handles the press on the downside of his career.

What happens when you decline physically and the press is no longer eating out of your hand?

Will his massive ego allow him to stick around?

He's a smart player. I think a lot will depend on his cast around him. If he's still carrying the load like he is right now, then his decline will look worse. If he's able to work off of, oh I don't know, Lonzo and Ingram and Paul George, I think he'll age pretty well.

He’ll need good defense to hide his already declining D, but yeah, if I’m him, Los Angeles shows pitential to lengthen his career.

And Ty Lue is an idiot for playing him 37 minutes a game. Ridiculous. Seems very short cited. LLLLL might seem bionic, but he’s not.

I agree. I think having younger, more capable defenders around him will be really important as he gets older. The Lakers are building something he should value.

Of course, who knows? I'd be perfectly fine if we signed George and not LeBron, but I think LeBron gives us something we haven't had in a long time and that's experience. He's the only high profile FA that has made it to the mountain top. Signing George and/or Cousins would be amazing, but even they would still be learning the path to the top.

Been with you on this; don't mind signing him. I think we know what he prefers; two-way players. He was recruiting George to Cleveland and there could be a possibility George and James resume conversations about pairing up in Los Angeles; certainly possible. And we have some very promising two-way players that could get after it defensively.

Him and George with this core next year make us a top 4 seed; are we better than GS? Probably not, but we're not far off.

yeah i'm pretty shocked at his usage this season

sure he's only 32-33 years old but he's got a lot of mileage on those legs and playing 35+ minutes a game is very stupid

and that's the main reason i don't want lebron in LA

because wherever lebron goes, he ends up running the entire production. plus, with lebron comes his entire crew like maverick carter and the lakers do not need that

^ true. What we need is to keep winning 20-25 games a season...

Lebron is also smart in the sense that he spends millions of dollars on his health and takes care of himself well (knows when to pick his spots). He has great biokinetics/footwork and his bowleggedness helps him absorb the impact of the court better than others.

Is this a known and acknowledged fact ... bowed legs absorb impact better? Have never heard that.
