At this point, I don't care who we get. Keeping our pick is the most important thing; this top 5 we'll end up with a good player, and that's all I want. After being subjected to this season, and this trade deadline, I need to see a better team next year.

I like the boat we happen to be on my friend. I think it's the right one.

As long as we land in the top 5 and keep our pick I'll be happy. Realistically, safely, that means ending up in the top 3 worst records. I have a feeling we can do that. I think Minny is going to pass us in wins.

I'd just flip Russell and Mudiay...only because of the unknown ....I've watched quite a bit of film from Mudiay in China now, and it really does not help me make a conclusion. The players he's tearing apart could not even play in our D league.

I thought the Sixers might too, but their tank game is so strong.

We can't afford to flip the pick. Not only does that player have super upside, but that player comes on a deal worth 4 million or less. We need those guys so that we can have room to sign bigger FAs. Even if Mudiay and Russell don't end up being stars, they're cost controlled role players for at least 4 years. Mudiay tore up that Chinese league, but what I'm seeing that keeps me interested is how he plays not necessarily who he's playing against. I see his game translating well to the NBA. He's probably not a ROY because he'll take time to adjust, but he's got All-Star upside if he lands in the right situation.

Oh! Okay that makes more sense. :D

Yeah I mean that's the concern when it comes to Mudiay vs. Russell. I still think Mudiay's game translates easier and faster at the NBA level, but we'll see. I'll be very interested to watch the combine stuff and all the measurables and workouts we'll hold... Should be an interesting Top 5 this summer.

So, Jerian Grant is 6'5' with a 6'10 wingspan and 220 lbs; bigger than Tyus
Jordan Clarkson roughly 6'4' with 6'8 wing span.

I want Jerian Grant. I've always liked big back-courts. I like the idea of switching without a problem from one position to the other interchangeably; a lot of what GS is doing seamlessly and why they're so successful. I want to build a defensive identity like that.

Towns has impressed me of late. I am not ready to put him above Okafor yet, but if he has a good tournament I can see him going number one.

    I'd rank them:
    1. Okafor
    2. Towns
    3. Russell
    4. Mudiay
    5. Johnson

WTF did they put in that kid's breakfast?! His head is 2-3 inches above the rim. :wondering: How tall is he? 6-5? Wow.

Yes, he's 6'5 and more physically gifted than Tyus. If we draft a big, I want to move up to grab him. Offer Hill, Houston 1st and cash to move up if you need too provided we draft a center with our lotto pick.

That might be nice, but what would be even better if he was on our team; the kid could play...

:). Cool. You reminded a story I heard after we drafted Jordan Clarkson and he participated in this tournament with some other players and 1st round talent wearing purple and gold sneakers. He was the best player on the floor. He put on a show. I thought that's that way you represent the purple and gold; being the best out on the floor. :)
