Abeer, the 2018plan gets us a star and a closer/go-to guy for many of these games that demanded for one. I think we were trying to trade for a star, but Pritchard wasn't having any of it. We could have traded for Cousins but I think you save assets like BI for a difference maker and Cuz is a good player to add to another star. Same can be said about Butler. Plus we didn't have the #2 pick to even offer towards any trades that occurred before the summer of 2017.

When it comes to Kyrie, giving Cleveland assets to help them retain LaBron is a conflict of interest. So looking at the 2017 trade market, we were kind of stuck.

With 2018, you can at least aim for 2 max type guys to add to this young core and if it doesn't work out, then you still have young trade assets that can bring in a 3rd star via trade. The 2018 plan is more promising than a 2017 plan due to the names we can bring in.

Also adding talent to a roster that has MozDeng limits our possibilities. So moving off those contracts places our ceiling of a potential game changing lineup that much higher.

I think they were up all night the night before catfishing Ray Allen.

    Just a theory though.

    Oh, there's a whine thread.

One advice to BI. I know it's great (and it looks great) when you do those kamikaze drives but dude, how about consider passing when there's help defense coming at you. It'd surely make a world of difference.

If I can see him make an assist by choice out of his numerous penetration drives, I promise to make a post to his thread.

He doesn't know if it's going to be a problem, meaning that he's going to get stripped until it's too late to pass. He has been getting a lot better at holding on to the ball compared to last season and even the start of this season. I prefer he keep charging on in as he is. He does find people outside of those drives, 3 asst per game.

We should have won this game. MWC - Luke's coaching, some of those pathetic ref calls, and missed FT's. Have to clean up those FT's. They'll kill you in a tight game.

Happy they didn't get blown out like opening night.

Now on to the WMC, the refs absolutely killed us tonight. That created a crazy domino effect with our lineups where alot of it will fall on Luke (some of it warranted like Kuz not playing and Hart/Brew not being in the game to stop Lou), but alot of it was on lineups that haven't played together and that led to poor communication on our defensive switches. Our defense was horrid as a result.

Zo again was a non-factor. BI/Randle missed free throws and BI missing a wide open 3 to tie it. Stupid turnovers like between the leg passes...wtf. Robin Lopez just annihilating his brother and since that game, BLo's been MIA (maybe Randle should be our small ball 5 starter). KCP expending so much energy on offense, where he couldn't be "that guy" to stop Lou. Heck we couldn't even stay in front of Austin Rivers...wtf!

Bottomline, the refs killed us and seeing how we're a young team, we ain't going to be getting favorable calls any time soon. Foul trouble led to disgustingly bad defense. Kuz couldn't save that, more minutes for our 2nd unit couldn't save that....our defense was piss poor and we deserved to lose that very winnable game.

The problem will always be Puke. Same as last time, same as the next one. That dude has no idea.

Didn't get to see the game, but why in the world is KCP taking 28 shots?

KCP is a poor 1 on 1 defender , giving up driving lanes way too easily ... It has little to do with his energy expense on O

Giving up 61 points to Lou Williams and Austin Rivers is inexcusable.

Luke moronically played him with Ball, Nance, Jules and BI so all the Clips did was pack the lane while Kuz sat with a bewildered look and KCP chucked away and the others reverted to jumpers only.

This was probably the most frustrating loss of the season.

Sick of losing to these guys. And I think Larry Nance coming back actually f***ed this game for us because it put our rotations all out of whack and we had TOO many players playing to the point where Kuzma only got 20 minutes (!)

Luke needs to figure out the frontcourt and figure it out fast. We can't play 5 guys every night....there's just not enough minutes to go around it seems.
