Nothing really worked tonight. Oh well. We did come back for a bit but we just couldn't make shots at all.

We're in 2017 and back 2 back games still exist in the NBA , what an aberration ...

    Team gets a pass ...

19-22 year-old bodies laugh at things like back to backs. James Worthy and others have said as much. It's a bad excuse. Bad decision making and not playing team ball, none of that has to do with having played the night before. 17 assists, poor shots. Immaturity.

Randle needs minutes at PF as well as center. Should be first or 2nd guy off bench. Some really crappy lineups again out there. Getting tired of Brewer who can't shoot a lick, not that many of them are right now.

shooting: EVERYONE knew in the summer we needed shooters, and the FO did nothing about it. the d was bad in this one, but they weren't competitive because nobody could hit anything from anywhere. freeze the screen occasionally when the lakers are in the halfcourt offense. the other team frequently has three guys actually in the paint. it's odd looking for an nba game. this spacing problem creates the turnovers, too, which makes the d look even worse.

this will be a season-long issue that squashes a lot of winnable games.

i think zach lowe (who clearly hates the lakers and is a shill for boston, houston, and philly) made the point today that kuzma's game is going to start shrinking if his three point percentage stays where it is. and, his obvious haterade aside, i think he's right. teams are still respecting his longball right now, but at some point, someone's going to test him. if he can't make them pay, a lot of the things he does well get a lot harder.

we're already dealing with that with ingram. teams give him a ton of space. if it weren't for his freakish length, he'd never get to the basket, because they're all sitting on it. kuzma's been able to catch on the swing and attack closeouts to great effect. but the closeout must occur first.

He's already having to work harder, but it will also make him better.

possibly. but the ideal solution is just to knock down the open three enough to keep doing what he's doing.

Where do we rank in getting open/wide open shots? Just curious if our offense is at least getting us good looks despite our inability to knock them down...

Brewer is just beyond terrible right now. I literally have zero confidence in him and just expect an out of control turnover or the inability to catch/finish a pass.

I don't bash our own players often, but his game has been asinine.
