Don't know where to put this, but since Lakersball just tweeted for the 1st time, I just wanted to recommend throwing a bunch of hashtags like #Lakers #LA #Lakernation at the end of each tweet. That way the tweet will have a higher chance of popping up to the general population, which could attract more attention to the site.
I barely know anything about twitter so I didn't even know that. Thanks Doc. Trodgers is primarily in charge of the twitter account.
Anything you talk about just end with a hashtag that encompasses what you are talking about or a generalization that is associated with it. "Kobe Bryant is on fire tonight. #Kobe #Mamba #Lakers" "The Lakers pulled off a big upset tonight. #LA #LakersNation #Lakers" "Come check out the postgame discussion at LakersBall.com. #Lakers #Lakersball" It gets so many more views doing it that way because people do a general search for Lakers and will see that tweet because Twitter will categorize tweets by the key words. If the keywords are in the hashtag, it's money for views. Build up a nice following that way.
Thanks Doc. Didn't know any of that. Twitter always just turned me off, so I never had any interest so I never investigated.
We should agree on a hashtag that we always include in our posts, I recommend #Lakersball. Even for me posting on my personal Twitter, ifit's Lakers-related then I include that hashtag.
