I don't think anybody is advocating for that.

Regarding Cousins, I’m not sure what to make of that possibility. He would definitely give us an inside game, which we don’t have. He is talented enough to be a stretch 5 because he has a good outside shot.

But, if the Lakers are trying to be the team with the fastest tempo, how does Cousins keep up with that? I’ve seen him gas out fairly easily. And he doesn’t strike me as someone that is willing to run up and down the floor without being the focal point on offense.

You don't need 5 people to run the break. Ideally you need only 3 people so really you only need your wings to get out and go.

If you put together a lineup of:

Lonzo/Wade(?)/Ingram/LeBron/Cousins or Lonzo/George/Ingram/Nance/Cousins that team has more than enough get-up-and-go ability in them.

Ideally you have Cousins as your trail 5 on a semi-fastbreak who can nail a three while the defense scrambles to adjust.

basketball-wise, cousins is a great fit anywhere.

it's getting really troubling that his teams can't win, though. he's playing with anthony davis right now (who has gotten a team to the playoffs). he's putting up stats, but they're meh as a team.

don't get me wrong: beggars can't be choosers, but i don't like his track record in terms of impacting team outcomes.

I'd much rather have zubac than Okafor. Offensively it is debatable who is better because unlike Okafor Zubac has an outside shot. Defensively I'd rather have zubac too. Both guys are very young, but still think Zubac is the better long term and team chemistry play.

Boy everyone hates Reggie Jackson. He must be really hard to play with.

LBJ and DMC this summer? Love PG but I think with BI and Kuz he is redundant

    PF - LBJ
    F - Kuz
    C - DMC
    G - BI
    PG - Ball

    WoW!

Rather have PG with LBJ as his sidekick and convince BroLo to take one of those wink wink we'll take care of you going forward next year and beyond, low cap hit contracts for a year.

Zero worries about any mental stuff around the locker room aside from LBJ's massive ego.

True BUT having DMC does one thing that PG can’t which is carry a team. Imagine DMC carrying the team most of the season to keep LBJ fresh. Dude is proving it this yr with his insane 29/14/6/2/2 line!

We have the swing defenders in LBJ/BI/Kuz

Anyways if we get PG I won’t complain either but just think BI/Kuz are ready for 30+ mpg

Maybe we get all 3 hahah and the league can suck it!

We would require a massive pay cut from three max players to get here. I'm not counting on it. Honestly I'm optimistic but I'm also not counting on any big FAs. It's entirely possible we get nobody or one lesser FA.

In that case we'd still have a great, great young core with Lonzo, Kuzma, Ingram, and lesser guys like Nance, Hart, Bryant, and Zubac. We may still have Clarkson and maybe even Randle. We could re-sign Brook. The rebuild would take a while but we could make it in 3-5 years.

I would still prefer George and James, but I'll take any combination of the top names. If you get 2-3 of the top names, LeBron or no, we're going to be a Playoff team for sure.

Paul George can’t carry a team?

He’s done something that Cousins has NEVER done. That’s lead his team to the playoffs consistently.

The only season they didn’t make the playoffs in Indiana is the year George broke his leg.

Honestly I'm happy with our current team. Young and exciting with great chemistry. I'd be perfectly happy replacing KCP with George. Hopefully resign Randle and Lopez. Stretch Deng. Like many, I don't want the Kang. He brings too much baggage with him, including his age, that will likely disrupt our team in the present and in the future.

    PG: Lonzo
    SG: George
    SF: Ingram
    PF: Kuzma
    C: Lopez

Super bench led by Clarkson, Hart, Nance and Randle. With another year of growth we'd be a hard team to beat.

Brooke Lopez with PG and Lebron next year would be lights out. Then add Kuz, BI and Zo? Kuz and BI would have to battle to see who ends up being the starting small forward on this team.

    Lopez
    James
    BI or Kuz
    George
    Ball

That team wins a title, barring injuries in 2020. However, Lebron is the wild card there. He has many a mileage on that body. He would have to be Tom Brady like if the Lakers want to win a few titles with him in LA.

He seemed really nice on a podcast compared to someone like Cousins.

I don't know if he still thinks he is the best player in the world...

Yeah. Kid’s got issues and I don’t see the fit here especially with the culture we’re trying to build.
