    I may be going out on a limb, but I would wager that most of us in this subforum, are middle, maybe a little left and some right but I doubt many would label themselves as a hardcore GOP.

    Am I way off?

    I think the vast majority are middle with a slight majority leaning right (at least the more vocal posters). I'm not sure there's anyone on here who is a staunch Republican or Democrat.

    I was about 10 - 15 years ago. I've mellowed out over the years. I try REALLY hard to see both sides and listen to people on the other side. I think the hypocrisy I see from far left and far right has frustrated me more than anything and driven me closer to the middle. The Lefts views on guns and abortion keep me right of center.

    My point is that these crazy Antifa, paid rioters etc are driving everybody away.

    The first Simpson's video was shown prior to a movie in theaters. It was about 3 minutes long. The family went in to see a Family Therapist and just unloaded on the therapist about what was wrong with everyone. Everyone talking over each other. Therapist throws them out and they all stand in the hallway, look at each other and start laughing. 1986 or 87. Who could've guessed it'd still be popular after all these years?

    Those seem to be conflating clickbait with sincerely held beliefs. Some at least know people will be outraged reading those headlines, and play off that to get clicks. It's a tactic used by media to garner ad revenue since before tv.
