Glove/Kidd/Nick Kobe/Richmond You could run KG at 3/Jones Malone/Duncan/Baker Shaq/Admiral Those starters are all ridiculous two-way players. Could the current guys handle them on both ends of the court?
I'm happy to see Kobe and Vanessa at least looking like and hopefully are still really doing well together. After the split which looked like it was over for them and would have been horrible for their girls. Nice date! I've done this like 5 times for my wife on Valentine's Day. You should check it out. Home Kobe Bryant -- Breaks Out the Chopper ... For Valentine's Day KOBE BRYANT BREAKS OUT THE CHOPPER ... For Valentine's Day 2/16/2015 7:50 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF His rotator is still jacked up, but his rotors are doing just fine -- which is why Kobe Bryant broke out the helicopter for a special Valentine's Day date with his wife Vanessa. The two took to the skies for a little romantic V-Day getaway over the weekend ... and made sure to take a few mid-flight selfies along the way. Sidenote -- Vanessa's earrings ... damn. Legend has it, Kobe has been using the 'copter for years to go from his home in Orange County to the Staples Center in L.A. so he can beat freeway traffic. But with his season over, it's good to see Kobe's still finding use for his favorite method of travel. Read more: http://www.tmz.com/2015/02/16/kobe-...er-chopper-valentines-day-date/#ixzz3RwAN5nG2
Does anybody have a link of "the interview" on nba tv? he talked about the time now after his torn rotator cuff. could be interesting.
Just got done watching Kobe: The Interview on NBATV What a beautiful interview that was. Kobe is so honest and it really goes to show he is the last of a dieing breed like Byron Scott eluted to before the start of this year. Amaud Rashad did a fabulous job in the questions he asked and I loved how they ended the interview. It re-airs at 9pm pct if anyone missed it.
Man, that was a well done special. We are so close to never seeing this guy lace em up again, it's starting to feel real and it's gonna be the end of an era. Kobe, Duncan, Dirk, Pierce, KG, and some others are almost done, and that will officially mean the full takeover of the soft era of the NBA is complete. The end of the 90's or not long after for me was the end of real, tough, physical basketball played by men who didn't care about knocking you down or helping you up, or talking trash, or being your friend out there. Closest we came to that ever again was IMO Lakers/C Bags '08 and '10, maybe Suns/Spurs when Horry checked Nash. Not sure we'll ever see it again. As a Lakers fan I'll get over Kobe being retired, just like older fans got over Magic being retired. But I don't think I'll ever get over what he brought to the game and represented being gone, giving 100% every night, not caring who liked him on the court, going for the kill when he saw an opening. I'd assume Lakers fans during the Magic era also had a hard time getting used to showtime being gone and didn't get over it until we won a title again. So yeah, can't see getting over the Kobe era of winning and greatness until we win it all again at some point, til then it'll be reflecting back on the good old days a lot. The only positive I see in this new era is the skill level, and shooting touch. I love watching Curry, Klay Thompson, Lillard, Irving, and a few others show some amazing handles and burying three after three. Oh, and it's not surprising it's NBA TV doing a special like this, you'd never see LEBRONSPN give him this much credit, praise, or positive attention.
Great interview and some amazing photos. But..... he needs to learn some new words / phrases besides "that's the challenge." He had to have said it 100 times. I loved that he didn't take the PC stance in regard to Shaq and bluntly stated they were not friends. I loved his comment that he wanted to do it (success and rings) through hard work and Shaq "wanted to do it another way." LOL
Better than this ditzy nasal voiced blonde woman who was on this show tonight with her husband that my wife was watching buy a log cabin, called "Buying Alaska". Swear to god every sentence had "WOW" or "Oh WOW!" in it. She used it like the annoying person who says "you know" constantly. Don't know how he stays married to her. LOL.
Really great interview. Ahmad got a very open, honest, candid retrospective Kobe. Awesome to watch, but saddening at the same time cause it's an hour long reminder that the end is near.
Killer! Just finished watching. Ahmad did a nice job. Kobe was great. Never noticed too many "that's the challenge"s. Great photos on the walls and great clips in games and practice and behind the scenes. Loved the clips of Kobe and Mike. All the interrupting commercials bite but they're the price you pay for this "keeper". A lot of insight into what has made him tick.
