    i'm kidding, mostly. it's good that the lakers hired someone who has a solid resume. given that the "go gets superstars via FA" plan seems dead in the water (again), we'll need to uncover some more gems. maybe having a bona fide analytics master might help us in signing vet FAs.

    I thought the Lakers had analytic gurus under the previous regime? Is he just the cream of the crop?

    The Dodgers are fairing well with their analytics approach. Maybe Magic is mapping that over. Best franchise in basketball might as well have the best of everything in basketball.
