Thank you Frank for being apart of the Lakers family and helping them win those 5 NBA Championships. R.I.P., Coach.

Just saw Kobe's tweet about Frank. Really sad. He was one of the many faces you think about during the Kobe/Phil era with the Lakers. I still remember him being the interim coach after Rudy walked away in 2005. Great assistant for a long time.

I will always have a soft spot in my heart for anyone on those teams in the early 2000s helping us win those championships. Frank was a big part of that as @Lakers2015 said. When I think of Phil Jackson and his great staff Frank is always in my head. I will miss seeing his face during Lakers events.

    RIP Frank

I always liked Frank Hamblen's demeanor. Seemed like a really cool guy. Rest in Peace. Way too young.

I’ll echo this, he seemed pretty cool, but he’d be right there next to Phil yelling at the refs when they deserved it too. He seemed well liked by the players as he was kept around for multiple regimes. RIP, coach.

Great guy around our team, RIP.

People easily forget Frank is the guy that held down the fort and started running Triangle sets as interim coach while Phil was obviously already in discussions & essentially locked in to re-join the team as head coach the following season.
