That's the Big Baller way. even if you make a mistake, act like it's not, and that you're proud of what you just did shamelessly and without regret.
That's why Kobe is a legend, and why LeBron is not Kobe, and never will be. I don't remember any Snapchat videos of Kobe working out shirtless with silly captions.
...that was a good team in 1998 but inexperienced showed against Utah who pick and rolled them endlessly. Yes, Malone did foul Van Exel on that potential game winning shot in Game 1.
I agree, but I don't think it should be a knock against LeBron. LeBron is LeBron and we probably won't ever see another unique talent like him. Kobe is Kobe and we likely never see another competitor as ruthless as him and just having the will to win mentality.
Nobody will likely ever be Kobe again to be fair. That being said, I think the polar opposites of the people they are have lead to the sharp divide on fans' opinions between the two. Kobe never flopped, never backed down, (yes he complained) played with injuries, and squeezed the most out of his talent. He didn't put up the stats Lebron does, but I trusted him in the clutch to make the right play. Didn't always work out, but you knew he had the nuts and where the ball was going. Lebron is an all time great, but he was never and will never be the closer that Michael or Kobe was. He flops to draw calls when he is likely the most powerful athlete ever to play his position. He doesn't play when hurt, and he's more than willing to defer to teammates in key moments. Lebron will never be loved by Laker fans the way we love Kobe because of the qualities we admire so much. You have to admire Lebron for his own greatness, and they really don't need to be compared. But just as we love Kobe, there are those that will slice the data all day every day to try to show him as the GOAT. The fact that compelling arguments can be made using his stats is a massive compliment of the highest order, but I really want some of that Kobe DNA in the person considered the Greatest of all time. Lebron will never be that for me even if he finishes #1 overall in points, rebounds, assists, championship appearances, etc. He'll never be THAT GUY for 10's of millions of fans.
.... classic Kobe. He noticed the other kids couldn't dribble with the left so he took advantage and stole it lot and went for a lot of layups. LeBron was plotting his "brand" when he was 8 years old.
fantastic. jordan made kobe look silly a number of times in those earlier duels, but kobe then returned the favor to mj and the rest of the league for years to come
How does that even work if you don't know it's coming? And Barnes got insanely close. Amazing moment. LeBron would have flown backward and dropped holding his nose. Then slow motion would have exposed him for the 800th time.
Seriously, that was badass. What did JVG say? Even if you were in a pillow fight and someone did that, you'd flinch.
