I want the Cubs in the playoffs. So the Dodgers can steam roll them this time.

Another plus from getting Darvish; we have a better chance of getting Japan's Babe Ruth Shohei Otani!

Yes I agree and that was the article I saw, but I have something weird going on with Yahoo on my Mac Pro when I copy/paste their links. Most always when I go back and check after posting .... a general Yahoo page comes up without going specifically to the article. Does this happen to anyone else?

Incredible. I was sort of worried for him because I'd heard he sometimes got anxious, but he was incredible out there.

This team looks so ridiculously stacked right now.

Maybe I'll get lucky and Darvish will have a start on one of the next 6 Tuesdays while KTLA is picking up the telecasts. Or ESPN. Have to start checking the TV schedule more carefully these days.

So Yu is a big dude with strong legs per comments from someone on LB yesterday. What's the velocity range on his heater these days? What other quality pitches does he have in his repertoire? Typically pretty good control? Coming from American League is the bat a foreign object to him at the plate?

    Let's see:

    1) fast ball hits up to 97 maybe even 98 on a good day although I haven't seen him through 98 for a strike.
    2) this is where things get crazy: he's got a slider at 83, he's got the heater at 96, he's got a two-seam fastball with movement at 92, he's even got a splitter that clocks probably 86, he's got a mini-curve/breaking ball that comes in 84, he's got a big curve he can throw all the way down to 65, he's got a smaller curve he throws at 75, and he's got a change-up he can throw at about 88. All of these pitches he can throw with plus stuff, but he usually sticks to the two and four seam fastballs, the slider, and the various curve balls.
    3) He's got very good control, but he'll do two things fairly frequently: he'll throw the slider/a fastball outside in the dirt and he'll let his fastball tail up inside on right handers to get them off the plate.
    4) Yes. His at-bats yesterday were atrocious. He's going to need a lot of work there, but for now they just told him to basically take every pitch and try to force the pitcher to throw strikes.

    Here's his game from yesterday:

Awesome breakdown realdeal, thanks, and for the link. Looks good out there!

OK check this article on the front page of the L.A. Times today .... not just the sports section. Haven't had a chance to read yet.

Right at the top and left side of the page a big photo of Kyle Farmer having his shirt ripped off and being mobbed at home plate after his game winning hit bottom of the 11th in his first MLB at bat. And below that in big block letters:

    BEST DODGERS TEAM EVER?

    http://www.latimes.com/sports/dodgers/la-sp-dodgers-magic-20170804-story.html

    Great read ^^^

I would have a hard time arguing this isn't the best Dodger team ever...

JUGGLER'S KNOT!! 8 - 0 over Mets. Ryu dominant. Bellinger with low screamer deep out of center field. Turner keeps mashing.
